The long term outcome of the battle might be determined by who can recruit the next generation of listeners and Kate seemed to be very popular with the 10-25 year olds - she would be the logical next DJ in the line of Pat Sharp and Katie Hill if you wanted people who came with their own readybuilt TV popularity..
