And that of course plays exactly into his and the producers hands and makes him more valuable to them...
Has it not occurred to them that the decline in audience has coincided with the increase in "reality trash" on the show? This show and SCD used to be watched by many people who can't bear shows like BB, BGT, and XF, because they were different. Make DOI and SCD like those other three, and you lose those people, like me. This will be the last series that I watch, and even then I'm only watching the skating, I fast forward through the rest, it's rubbish. |

Ugh... just been looking at Jason's Twitter again (I'm a sucker for punishment)... I seriously wonder if he actually wants to be a DOI judge going off some of the tweets on there. Some of the conversation threads had me
![]() @officialJasonG: Such a glorious Spring day... makes everything so much more bearable when the sun is out. It's put a spring in my step... but for how long? Someone replied with: enjoy it now, as you have to watch those F-list celebs pissing about on ice later!! To which he replied LOL thanks for raining on my parade! Another replied to his original tweet with probably until the first celeb to skate tonight, maybe? hope your well xx To which he replied Too f**king true!! LOL ![]() Does he begrudge his DOI duties that much? Jason, for what it's worth love, we'd be happy to see the back of you ![]() The guy obviously hates skating yet is a judge on a skating show. He obviously only does the show for the fame & the money. |

The tweet that really got me was - it's all winter olympics skating talk in the dressing room and I could poke my eyes out!!
The guy obviously hates skating yet is a judge on a skating show. He obviously only does the show for the fame & the money. Jason is nothing, he's a choreographer, an unknown outside reality tv. He is the new boy trying to join the party, but is not fitting in and is therefore being left out. He is trying to make some sort of impact, and since he has no sports talent, he's grabbing attention any way he can. Bit of a saddo really. |

Or is that simply because the crop of contestants really isn't all that?

Now he's got the nerve to say the other judges have favourites because they didn't agree with him about the skate off on Saturday:
http://entertainment.stv.tv/tv/16252...ve-favourites/ Of course, he has never shown favouritism to any competitor, has he? The one that really sticks in my mind is Bonny Langford being a wonderful skater during the flying episode a few years back, when her feet only touched the ice as maximum of twice. |

Jason seems to have 2 criteria when judging
1. Anyone who is a dancer by training can do no wrong (e.g. Bonnie, Suzanne, Zaraah and now Hayley 2. Anyone with a sports background can do no right (e.g Kelly, Lee, Steve, Greg and this series Sharron. He also seems to think that doing the choreo on ice is the same as doing them on a solid wood floor when in fact its a totally different ball game. Simple floor moves can be an absolute nightmare on a narrow blade on a slippery surface - and other floor moves are nigh impossible to do on ice (and vice versa) HE doesn't seem to have much idea about what is good skating and what is bad skating and makes no allowances for the efforts the celebs have made to deliver their routines. I am astounded when I hear him challenging Nicky and Robin on skating matters - especially when it shows his total ignorance of the skills involved. From the CV someone else found and published on another thread - Jason's "choreography" qualifications are somewhat dubious - he has done some catwalk/ trade shows and a few adverts - but nothing of any note - and even none of that since 2005. He is a nasty, rude little man who is jealous of anyone who is more successful than he is (just about all the contestants then?) and seems to get a real kick out of making nasty snide put downs to those who have worked hard all week in the name of entertainmment. Michael Ball was far more constructive in the comments and advice he gave to Sharron - something Jason should have done in week 1 rather than (unhelpfully) telling her she looked as if she was possessed by a tree! Given his twitter comments - he hates the job and his fellow judges - so why can't the producers put him - and the vast majority of viewers - out of their misery?? |

Read this too, honestly the layers of irony and hypocrisy are reaching levels of surreal recursion that would make M.C. Escher's head spin. Have you noticed how he accuses people of things that he himself has recently been accused of? (accused Sharron of disrespect to T&D after being hideously disrespectful to her over fecalgate; accused the judges of hypocrisy and then fans the flames over the Karen / Chris alleged affair despite his earlier 'disrespect to Chris' bitching against Sharron, accuses the judges of favouritism despite blatantly favouring Mikey himself). Honestly. He's projecting like a psychopath! ![]() .Quote:

I think it is time Mr. Gardiner was given his P45. He has proven on his Twitter Page that he doesn't rate the judges, he doesn't rate the celebrities, he holds the audience in total contempt and himself in the highest regard.
He is deluded to think the other judges have "favourites" - when he, himself, only favours those who have had a performing arts/stage school education - Bonnie, Hayley etc. etc. He doesn't know a thing about skating and said he wanted to "poke his eyes out" when the Olympics were being discussed in the dressing room. A highly unpleasant man. He is not interested in skating one iota - and it is time ITV gave him the boot. |

His web page is up and running - designed by HIM of course.
Not only does he describe himself as: TV Judge Fashion Expert Choreographer Songwriter Performer but now he's a web designer as well. http://www.jasongardiner.com/ Had a quick look at some of it, but quickly felt sick at the egofest, so had to close it. |

I did EXACTLY the same thing. Clicked onto it out of sheer morbid curiostity but could only stomach a cursory glance at the homepage. It gave me too many "when you look into the abyss, the abyss also looks into you" type feelings.
