Well you know what they say - a slug of wine for the pan and one for me.

There’s a new think starting this afternoon. Celebrity Pressure Cooker

It’s just started and it’s presented by Lorraine Kelly so unwatchable.

I saw this listed yesterday and had a look at the info on the EPG and didn't bother tuning in because of the guest list (Biggins, Hardeep inparticular).

Just looked and those guests aren't on but it does look like a modified version of Ready Steady Cook. Only caught about 30 secs though.

There’s only five programmes scheduled. I can’t see it taking off.

That comes across as a relatively straightforward, non-pretentious food programme.”

MK sucks and is a very poor replacement for Good Food Live which was probably the best program EVER on UKTv Food.

Bring back GFL and the Barnett Woman!!

I've been happy not to see her on tv since. Give me Amanda Lamb any day

Taste is repeated on weekday mornings on Sky3, usually starts around 2:30am - 3am.

I was having a discussion in another thread about the early tv appearances of Gizzi Erskine.

Here are a couple of (low quality) clips of her on Taste

I think you'll find it's on at 7am also (although it was 8am a couple of weeks ago)

No good to me. I'm not awake at 7am, unlike at 3am

Caught the end of Pressure Cooking thingy yesterday and Michelle Collins looked like she had taken something from the bin and put it on a plate and she won but never saw the loser.
Today was Biggins so that went straight off - awful.

i've been watching the repeats of the hairy bikers food tour of britain on the good food channel, as i missed most of it last time.

There really isn't much worth watching in new cooking programs at the minute, which is a shame, now i am all settled and finally have my own small kitchen!

There was nothing else on so just watched Tyler Florence's show and now Daily Cooks Challenge.

Daily Cooks looks like it is the really old version. It must be when AWT moved from Saturday Kitchen to ITV.
It is him presenting and 3 guests chefs. Not the two challengers and a celeb guest.

Ten Mile Menu starts today
Quote:
“New series in which two teams are challenged to source and serve a three-course meal using only produce from within a ten mile radius. Each team is made up of a professional chef and a celebrity cooking novice, and together they have to win over a group of uncompromising local judges. Today chefs Paul Rankin and Ed Baines are joined by guests Jenni Falconer and Charley Boorman in Rye, East Sussex.”

I don't know if it's because it is the first episode but it seems far too drawn out. They could cut this down a bit to make it tighter and more entertaining.

I do like the fact that they have locals as judges rather than food critics.

In fact it has a similar theme to Hairy Bikers' Food Tour. They are going around a region finding the best local ingredients and delicacies and then having a food challenge.

I think it's Caroline Quentin on the voiceover.

Pretty sure it’s Caroline Quentin, but she seems to have shut up now.

They have a 1hour show and they don't explain how or why points are awarded?

Another program that this reminds me of is Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is. I haven't seen any pricing in this program but going around sourcing from local suppliers is a similar objective.

I still think it drags on a bit too much. I doubt it would be something I would be sorry I missed. I'm only tuning in as is was a new program and there's nothing else on.
