v.interesting article.

Canvas is starting to get the message out there that it's all about facilitating IPTV for existing services (iPlayer/ ITV Netplayer/ 4OD etc) and then providing the framework for "additional revenue generating services"

Sky could well take steps to get on board and attempt to exploit that as it being developed as an open platform with equal access for all.

I've been saying for ages - interesting times ahead and some major opportunities for consumers and broadcasters alike.

Agreed - if wholesaling Sky's premium content to other platforms can help bring the costs down for everyone, including existing/new Sky customers, then that's great.

If it doesn't, and the same content is cheaper elsewhere, then it'll be time to 'shop around'.

As much as some people on here may think it, I have no great loyalty to any particular service - I go where the value to me is, and what is competetive - so if Sky was no longer competetive for my needs, I would move on.

Simples.
