No no Sid - nothing could compare with Stefan and Kristina, the broom and Mr. Bojangles.
![]() But not a patch on Donal ![]() Don't diss the Donal or my smooches might vanish altogether!!! x x xQuote:
Zaraah didn't drop it first time round no. She did in the skate off.
How good was she for a latecomer? My favourite routine of hers was when she skated to Diamonds and Pearls

THe only real prop routine I remember is Suzanne and Zaraahs. Loved the hula hoop and the cane (which tbh was poorly used!) I remember she had to catch it at the end and she done a lift with the hoop at the start where she caught on by the leg and Fred spun her!
![]() Did Greg not get a table? Gareth had a hat. Ray had the hat aswell? I love prop week!

Everyone from series 3 had two props. Now my memory might not be right but I'm pretty sure; Suzanne had a chair and an umbrella, chris had a table and a suitcase, greg had a broom and a table, gareth had a hat and a cane, zaraah had a cane and a hula hoop.
From the last series yeah Ray had a hat. |

Are there any other props that could be used, do you reckon? I find it gets a little predictable each year what props will be used.

Yeah, they had 2. I just rememebr Zaraah and Suzannes really.
I also remember Gareth had problems with the hat in the VT I think. and Kristina being spun round on a side of the table... |

Well I think that's why they tried to mix it up in series 3 and introduce others like the table which really didnt work.
I think what you can get an amateur who hasnt been skating long to use etc and work into a routine on the ice is very limited to be honest. From that week in series 3 what i mostly remember is suzanne chipping her ankle after doing a handstand on the chair and coming down matts back. |

I suppose so - has the suitcase been used since Kyran? I agree K_evans, the table didn't really work!

Rats, I was hoping that they might have decided to ditch props week this year - thought it might have happened before now.
I'll still watch it, but it's not my favourite. |

Props week is my favourite.
I still have fond memories of Donal, Flo and their broom ![]() Quote:
And Coleen and the boa.

Ah, DoFlo
Good times.![]() I don't really like the props night but made an exception for Donal and Flo last year. |

Props night makes the medium look good and the good look rubbish, generally - Ray with the hat last year did pretty much his only bad routine for the entire series, while Donal stood out.
The only way Coleen could've looked good with that boa is if Stuart had strangled her with it ![]()

Kyrans suitcase routine was brilliant... Stefan's Mr Bojangles with the broom was also excellent so were Donal and Florentine with the broom... and Claire with the chair.... |

I wonder how they choose which celebrity gets which prop? It should really be done with picking choices out of a bag.

I though Chris' routine was good but not great. Having the suitcase & the table was a bit OTT and meant that the routine didn't quite flow & come together.

I wonder if we'll get Chris doing his Pussycat Doll moves with the chair again this year?

I've only recently started watch DOI and haven't always looked too closely.
I assumed the prop had something to do with the song that was chosen? So that if, for example, there was a song about going on a date with a man, they might have a telephone, or table (as in a restaurant.) And what is the aim with the props - that you have to wear/touch/use them for a certain number of minutes, or do you get points for being creative and using them in a way no one else has? |

Series 3 was also the only year the celebs got to choose their props. So what Greg was thinking with that honking great table, I don't know.

I would imagine you could have anything - music stand, guitar, briefcase, skipping rope, giant teddy bear; the challenge would be, what to do with them. Just thought that a Wendy house or Tardis would be good. |

The hat is my least fave - so droppable. Thought Ray's routine with it was one of his weakest (and I was a big Ray fan).
My fave props routine was deffo Stefan and Kristina with the broom. |
