Nicky
Karen Robin Jason and Emma I dislike equally. Jason because he is a nasty, unpleasant individual. Emma is just a general irritant who spouts forth on the contesrants skating when she knows very little. She is also quite unpleasant at times. |

Robin
Karen Nicky (can be a bit iffy with the scores, mostly knows what he is talking about) Emma - pointless but can look pretty. Jason - has only impressed me once. He must be having a bad day. Usually he does cross the boundary and his rudeness makes me want to punch him. (I am a pacifist) |

5 - Robin - consistent,unbiased and knows his stuff
4 - Nicky - some of his scores have been a bit random this series, but his comments are nearly always on the nail. 3 - Karen - a bit too close to the celebs to be completely unbiased IMO. I think she sometimes brings opjnions from the weeks training to main show. 4 - Emma - doesn't really add anything other than decoration. The skating judges have easily as much performance knowledge. 5 - Jason - used to make some quite salient comments in amongst the vitriol, but has started to believe his own publicity I think! Really gone down in my estimation this series, and his Twitter comments reveal a contempt for the whole DOI brand which really ought to get him his P45!! By and large I agree with those who have said that we could manage just as well with only the three skating judges. Plus we would probably get more informative comment with only three people for Holly to choose from. |

5. Robin - Most knowledgable & qualified judge.
4. Karen - Always marks fairly IMO in spite of the fact she coaches the contestants 3. Nicky - Don't like the attention seeking nature of his scores sometimes but he nearly always talks sense & his comments are constructive. 2. Jason - May have been a bit higher before this series started as behind his comments he is often on the money. His ego & gob are now out of control though. Tweeting bitchy comments when voting is still taking place; mouthing off in the press about who he wants to leave; overly personal comments & now gobbing off on people's private lives too. STFU. 1. Emma - Waste of space. Get rid & bring in the lovely Michael Ball. |

Robin - makes sense consistently and can balance comments on nuts and bolts with artistic merit. Knows how to mark.
Emma- sound judgement, gets her marking right most of the time and calls time well on those past their sellby date without going OTT like Jason. Understands the learning process. Karen usually bland and positive whatever happened. Jason - often right but sometimes focuses on minutiae and often overstates or over dramatisises or is downright rude - encouraging the anarchist voters. Nicky - random number generation - sometimes driven by nuts and bolts issues, sometimes incisive, often bizarre and sometimes makes no sense at all. |

Can I break the rules and add in this year's guest judges as well as Ruthie from previously?
In which case my order is.... Robin Cousins Michael Ball Nicky Slater Karen Barber Emma Bunton Angela Rippon Ruthie Henshall Jason Gardiner For next year I'd have a 4 judge panel with just the top four listed, although if they could find another skating judge I'd replace Karen with them, not because I don't like her, but because I don't like someone who is coaching them also judging. |

Robin Cousins - Consistantly fair and accurate, knows exactly what he's talking about, always gives constructive criticism but doesn't upset people.
Karen Barber - Knows her stuff, helps them along the way and is like a friend, isn't always very constructive during the live shows, but I guess she is during the week when helping them. ---Big gap here--- Nicky Slater - Also knows his stuff, usually accurate with comments but sometimes talks rubbish imo and his scores are sometimes off. Jason Gardner - Is often personal and just plain nasty, but knows a lot about dance and choreography and can give constructive comments. Emma Bunton - Gives fairly accurate marks and comments but basically says what anyone at home could say and isn't really qualified to sit there imo. I mean I'd understand if she was a dancer but she's a singer. What the hell. |

Robin: Fair and consistent like everyone else says, I also like him because he's just hilarious backstage. His conversation with Melinda over what to do with his gold medal was classic. Also, he could do a backflip on ice, that earns him points.
Karen: The crying grates sometimes, but she's usually the most constructive. She tends to mark about half a point too high but she's balanced by everyone else. Nicky: Endearingly mental but occassionally comes out with something resembling sense. Jason: He tries too hard to be witty and controversial but doesn't have enough charm to pull it off, and he decides very early on who his favourites are and who he's going to pick on. That said, under all the unnecessary nastiness he's often right with what he says. Emma: I do like her, certainly more than Ruthie who really didn't know what she was doing, but there's really no need for her to be there and she doesn't make much of an impression. Guest judge wise- Michael was brilliant. He didn't pretend to know more than he did and was fair and constructive. Plus he's generally awesome. I'd vote he replace Emma if he wasn't so busy. |

Robin is definitely the best and I really found his commentary on the Winter Olympics informative. He seems an easy person for his colleagues to get along with, eg. he had a good rapport with Sue Barker in that, and is clearly most qualifed given he has an olympic gold.

5 - Robin - Always makes sense when asked for his comments - wish he was asked more often, gives areas for improvement. Don't always agree with his skate off opinions
4 - Jason - Almost always agree with his marks. Almost always have made the same point about a performance he does before he says it. I also think he's the only judge who routinely gives areas for people to improve - without him lots of contestants would be worse. How many times have we heard 'I'll prove Jason wrong' and then a great routine comes the following week 3 - Nicky - Silly marking at times, but when asked he will always back it up. Is consistant in what he looks for although sometimes at the expense of other elements. Love his rapport with Jason - even the sniping. 2 - Emma - Not sure what extra she brings. Think she's asked fro comments too often, but is a VAST improvement on Ruthie Henshall 1 - Karen - as a trainer and coach she's great, but as a Judge she sucks. Too emotional, too invested in the contestants and the routines to give a balenced opinion. She gives to many points for "trying" during the week no matter what the end result. I'm also sick of seeing her roll her eyes when other judges (not just Jason) offer opinions she doesn't agree with. |
