I've had it preordered for a while now, i can't wait to hear it.

I'm glad it's finally coming though. The date seems to have been pushed back about a dozen times

don't like the cd cover. I'd have thought as they'd pushed the date back a few times (presumably to add more songs etc), they'd have re-shot the cover.

They've had a lot of bad press and of course Keisha leaving (note the word leaving, NOT being kicked out) will have a negative effect on sales I would have thought. Shame, because Sweet 7 is a bloody briliant album - there are tons of songs on there that are releasable material. They've really worked with some top producers and writers on this one, including Red One and Neyo (there is also a callob. with Sean Kingston.

Please buy it if you like the stuff people, this deserves to be a number 1 album. If they're going to break America, this will be the album they do it with.

Already have it.

But I've pre-ordered it on iTunes.
They need all the sales they can get!

I prefer an act releasing at least three singles before an album.

I've never understood the one release, then the album then another two/three single releases.

They definitely need the sales. This album is possibly the most expensive British pop album in years.

They not only have to off-set the costs of the album itself, which is pretty expensive given its production credits, but also marketing costs for up to 6 singles, the manufacturing costs of 3.0's version of the album (which was mass produced then destroyed), the costs of Jade's cancelled solo career, and Keisha's pay-packet too.

Fortunately for Sugababes they command high live performance fees, and the record label uniquely makes money from this, so they will break even, and possibly profit. They're going to India and then Asia next month, and as the first British girlband to really make an effort there, they could enjoy a honeymoon period.

The past couple of albums i've preordered from HMV have actually been arriving on the Friday Fingers crossed. I've tried so hard not to listen to any of the leaks - my patience will hopefully be rewarded

Here in the UK, it's on Monday (Ireland on Friday). It's already out in Poland and some other European countries, and Germany later this month.

Asian release date is up in the air. They are working with Bollywood producers next month, so it is possible there will be a few Asia-only bonus tracks (that may make their way here on a re-release in future), delaying the release until the summer possibly. North American release will not be until the end of the year, already confirmed by the girls themselves.

Their promo-tour schedule is as follows:

India and Rest of Asia - March/April, then odd-dates throughout summer
UK and Europe - Summer
USA and Canada - late 2010

I predict it to go straight in the charts at #3 or something then fall down to #6, then #13 and then plummet down the charts like Get Sexy/About A Girl/Wear My Kiss did except possibly a bit slower and with the occasional rise.

Thankfully the albums pushed back to the same week that Jade is acting as a Eurovision judge and they're performing on that show.

It's the most high profile TV the babes have done for a very long time so it should go alright if they perform 'Crash & Burn' or 'Thank You For The Heartbreak' to advertise it's release.

I think it will go in top 10 and then plummet down to the 30-40 area where it will float for a while and then maybe sneak back to the dark end of the top 20 when C&S is released and hopefully if 'She's a mess' is the fifth single in August it'll climb and hang around a bit longer.

IF it's doing okay by a fifth single they should do a sixth with a new song or 'Little miss perfect' and whack a couple of the other songs (Firefly, Lincoln Continental) on the album.

I predict sales of around 320 - 380k. Not great but enough to bring them back for album no.8

Unlike their last two albums, Island can easily stretch Sweet 7's appeal out for at least a year. So I'm sure it'll have strong year-to-date sales come December.

If anything, I say Island have really screwed themselves over, because they have too many potential singles. Enough to release a new one every two months:

April: Crash & Burn
June: Miss Everything
August: Give It To Me Now (the single should feature a Jay-Z rap)
October: She's A Mess
December: No More You
February 2011: Little Miss Perfect/Thank You For The Heartbreak

I think having "too many single potentials" can't really screw them over as it means they can't REALLY go wrong with what they release.

I think they're safe with 'She's a mess' and 'Little miss perfect' follow Crash and Burn and hope for the top 10 (SAM could easily go top 3 if promoted properly and LMP is nice for winter)

I think 'No More You' 'Wait For You' and 'Thankyou For The Heartbreak' will all be considered for singles but I can't see any of them doing any favours to the album. They're good but they're good for fans - not good enough to bring in new interest.

SAM will get played in clubs without a doubt.

Critics have panned the album unfortunately, which is the last thing they needed

1/5 from The Times, Slate and Independant, 2/5 from The Guardian, Mirror, Virign Music and LSE.

This really is going to be make or break for them, but they don't seem to have all that much promo lined up for it!

Such a shame

About a girl and Wear my kiss haven't really been big hits. Since Keisha left, it's all been bad luck for them. Makes you wonder if the general public don;t care about the babes anymore. If the album bombs, Keisha's departure was well and truly the death of the band.

I don't think thats really true. Look at Catfights and Spotlights, it only peaked at number 8 and it dropped out of the top 50 within 4 weeks. To date its sold about 122,000 copies - thats less than About A Girl (125k). If anything that was their death knell. Also, No Can Do - only spent 2 weeks in the Top 40 and sold 49k. Change (the single) - sold 93k. Denial - sold 86k. Easy - sold 56k. Even taking into account the lower single sales back then, those were still pretty big flops.

My point is that Sugababes haven't had a hugely successful single since About You Now (470k) which was all the way back in 2007. They'd still be doing just as badly if Keisha were still in the group. The reason they're flopping is because they're releasing trash like About A Girl and Get Sexy - which they'd still be doing if Keisha had stayed in the band. And maybe people just don't like that sort of pop music anymore - if you look at the Top 40 its acts like Tinie Tempah, N Dubz and Jason DeRulo who are getting number 1s nowadays. But I think if 4.0 released a song as good as Push The Button, About You Now or Hole In The Head they'd get back to their former level of success - no matter who was in the lineup.

But anyway - I think Crash and Burn, then Thank You For The Heartbreak should definitely be the next singles. Then either No More You or She's A Mess. I thik all their single choices so far have been pretty bad.

Wasn't the plan to release six singles?

They could do a Pussycat Dolls & release six from the same album.
& really stretch it out.

Crash & Burn or Little Miss Perfect have to be singles.
They need to show that side of the album - even though there are only what? Two ballads!
But it'll give a chance to show of their voices.

Will it be on Itunes Ireland on Friday? I thought it was tomorrow it was going on Itunes. They don't advertise it for pre order or anything.

That sounds really cool, I love Bollywood music! Are the Asian Music Awards on TV anywhere?
