Change (the single) - sold 93k. Denial - sold 86k. Easy - sold 56k. Even taking into account the lower single sales back then, those were still pretty big flops.

My point is that Sugababes haven't had a hugely successful single since About You Now (470k) which was all the way back in 2007. They'd still be doing just as badly if Keisha were still in the group. The reason they're flopping is because they're releasing trash like About A Girl and Get Sexy - which they'd still be doing if Keisha had stayed in the band. And maybe people just don't like that sort of pop music anymore - if you look at the Top 40 its acts like Tinie Tempah, N Dubz and Jason DeRulo who are getting number 1s nowadays. But I think if 4.0 released a song as good as Push The Button, About You Now or Hole In The Head they'd get back to their former level of success - no matter who was in the lineup.

But anyway - I think Crash and Burn, then Thank You For The Heartbreak should definitely be the next singles. Then either No More You or She's A Mess. I thik all their single choices so far have been pretty bad.”

Catfights bombed because they changed their sound. There was nothing commericial about that album at all. Yet they blamed it for poor promotion. They reckon fans didn't know they had an album out which is a poor excuse. How can a girl band who have been around for ages, have fans who don't know they have an album?

Personally i think C&S bombed because of the dire single choices. Girl is the biggest pile of poo they have ever released and No Can Do isn't much better.

I bought the album anyway since i love the band, and on the whole it was actually pretty good - The 2 singles are the 2 weskest tracks. Other fans might not have bothered with it though. I remember fans did give 'Girls' quite a bashing when it was released.

They should have released "Side Chick" and "Nothing's As Good As You" as singles from Catfights. "No Can Do" was an awful choice and the video was cringe.

They proper ballsed C&S they were meant to take time off but because they got the opportunity to work with those producers they didn't.

Why not record stuff and then take time off? Or reschedule?

They should've released a fourth single off 'Change' and waited until 2009 for C&S or done...

You On A Good Day (September 2008)
Sunday Rain (December 2008)
Every Heart Broken (February 2009)
Beware or Side Chick (May 2009)

Then taken a year off to get a break from each other - then all this line up stuff may never have happened.

Totally agree. Its actually my favourite album from them, despite having a few terrible songs. I'm just gutted they didn't release Every Heart Broken, its one of the best songs they've ever done in my opinion. And Unbreakable Heart, Can We Call A Truce, Side Chick and You On A Good Day would have been good singles too.

Also they should have released Never Gonna Dance Again from Change, its amazing.

Don't rate this at all. I like the singles, but the album tracks aren't all that.

Never Gonna Dance Again was good, would have been a great single. They used 3 spoons of suga from Change in the St Trinian's movie in 2007 and that was on the soundtrack so that should have been released as well.

I've been listening to a few songs off the newie, and I'm not really feeling any of them. 'She's A Mess' is good, but if released would probably just be seen as an inferior version of GS to the general public, they do sound pretty similar.

C&S wouldn't have been such a flop if they'd released these:

Side Chick
You On A Good Day
Every Heart Broken
Beware

Arguably the most commerical songs on the album, which would have seen it sell a darn sight more than measly 122,000 copies which it did manage to shift.

listening to this at the moment.

"up in that dress" - americanism I believe..why not just say 'in that dress'? they're british, after all. Not feeling this album at all. it just doesn't feel like sugababes.
