Nadine Coyle's album budget slashed.

It was probably Cheryl's agent who did this so that she wouldn't be upstaged...such a huge budget cut as well! |

Shocking!!! I hope this is not true. They can't do anything with £200, 000 these days - it will look and sound cheap.
Nadine being clearly the most talented vocalist in the group needs the right support network behind her to make this work. I just hope it does work, and that the album is quality, and that her label see sense!!!!!!! |

Lets hope we dont have to hear it, there will be no money in the budget to pay radio stations to play it, so all good news.

Radio stations aren't paid to play artists' music. In fact quite the opposite - artists, producers and songwriters receive royalties for it.

Yes agreed actually, Radio 1 do play some crap I have noticed! What is it with all these weird niche bands and gothic type emo stuff they play!! Talk about cr*p. Nadine isn't one of them though LOL. Quote:

I think her Manager already denied this saying she gets major priority because she is a major talent.
She has a great voice so I'm curious to hear her album. |

There's no hype surrounding her AT ALL. She's the best singer in GA, aswell. Shame -upset-

Sometimes the best voices never do well
Jo from S club was the voice of s club. Her solo stuff was crap and yet it was Rachel steven who saw the success. |

Without the backing of the other girls it's going to be impossible to understand what she's even singing, her horrible speaking voice has been coming through in her singing for the past few years now.
She's upstaged in singing by Nicola now, not really surprised about budget cut, she's never in the news whereas all the other girls regularly are, there probably won't be much interest outside the diehard Girls Aloud fans. |

Exactly thats what I thought. Cheryl got all the top producers and writers and she doesn't even have that much talent, where as Nadine has a good voice. She doesn't deserve this. Slashing the budget by so much is shocking and disgusting for someone with so much talent. Her label have not hyped her or generated any buzz for her and now they are making her pay by axing her album budget!
In fact, her manager even seemed to have a dig at Cheryl for working with those big producers on his twitter: Quote:
Nadine's album is a work of her own, not tracks already produced for her to just record a vocal on. Promise it will be this yr
Nadine's written over 40 songs for the album so far... and she's STILL writing and recording stuff, perhaps the label are being forced to cut the budget because she is taking so long?Plus, it's the job of her manager to promote and hype her up. So far he's only got her a gig on a Boyzone tribute show singing a duet of someone else's song. I really don't rate him as a manager. |

Cheryl has songs that 10 year olds can write & anyone can sing her tragic songs as our singing voices are just as bad as hers. I just hope Nadine's songs will be as good, like her voice. |

There's always a benefit from this: it means she'll have to work with new, raw talent, who are more eager to experiment, and so she could have a really unique sounding album.
Remember Britney Spears' Blackout. That was produced almost entirely by upstarts, yet sounds like it costs millions to produce. Reality, it probably cost less than $500,000. |

Who cares. Her as a solo artist will never work out. She's not likeable. No chance in hell of doing well at all. She's got the lowest media profile out of all of them. To slash the budget for her solo stuff makes business sense to me.

Meh it's not that bad really. £200,000 can go a lot further than people think in the industry. Especially thanks to pro tools. It's about using it carefully. She's got the voice, she just needs the right material.

Coming from someone who thinks that Diana Vickers is the height of vocal prowess...
And Diana clearly isn't the height of vocal prowess, I liked her because she was different, but that is irrelevant to how Nadine's vocal has deteriorated since she moved to America basically. Nice to see proper discussion is still alive on this forum though, you really proved me wrong lol |

Well if she had the musical talent then she'd make whatever cash she had to produce her album go a long way. Music nowadays doesn't cost that much to make, especially when people producing and recording in their bedrooms and on laptops nowadays... but of course if you're some Pop tart off the machine with zero talent you'll need all the cash you could get to pay the most expensive producers and engineers to make up for their shortcomings
