In the review of their Friday show, Colleen said she'd been persuaded to go back on the ice. Why, why, why. She was useless when she was in the competition and was only kept in because the British public wanted to put 2 fingers up to the judges. She did nothing but moan about her aches and pains and now she's coming back. We've had Ray, so why not the runner up and 3rd place, whoever they were I've forgotten already.

I'll do what I always do, Sky+ the prog and then play it about 15 minutes behind so I can whiz through the ads, but this week I'll whiz through Colleen's appearance too.

Its not like she's giving a performance, it'll probably just be a wobbly round the rink thing like Ben did last week.

Gosh, the hate for Coleen is ridiculous on these boards. Its the same every week since DoI Friday started. You've made the point you don't like her, why need to repeat it every single week is pointless. (I'm not aiming that at you specifically, just in general.)

Although saying that, the programme could do with way more backstage stuff! I don't see it lasting for next year either! Although, it should... maybe not on a Friday though!

The irritation (hate is too strong) for Coleen is that she was one of the worst ever contestants on the show & she has now bagged a presenting job on the spin off show & is proving to be almost as bad as that. Not helped when she talks about the skaters as if she is some kind of authority on it.

I used to like Colleen when she appeared on Loose Women from time to time.

But ever since DOI, she's been everywhere.

And sometimes familiarity can breed contempt.

I get just as wound up seeing Mylene Klass and Joe Swash cropping up all the time since they did Reality TV Shows. They are overexposed and annoying.

He was on either the first or second show. He came on and skated a routine with his partner from last year.

I don't dislike Coleen because she stayed in the show longer than better skaters. It wasn't her fault the public kept voting for her. That was our fault!

I just can't stand her in that Friday Ice show. I was so pleased when I heard about it. I thought it would be comparable to ITT for Strictly and at last we would start to get to know the pro skaters a bit better.

But it is just a pile of rubbish. And that is mainly down to the fact she just is not the right person for it. Compare her to Claudia Winkleman and there is no comparison.

She's pants, didn't like watching her skating last year when she'd apparently been practising so what will she be like now? No thanks. It's bad enough to see her stumble through the rest of the show. BTW I don't hate her that would show some sort of emotion about her, I only care enough to comment because she spoils a show that might have had a chance.

I agree. I can't hate somebody I've never met - that's just daft - but she does irritate me and spoils DOI Friday for that reason.

She is a shocking presenter and the Friday show is utter garbage.

I usually miss that show but I think Jessica Taylor is pregnant so she couldn't do it probably. I agree with you though it does seem a bit pointless for Col to go back.

Colleen wasn't the best skater the world has ever seen but she was the biggest Moaning Minnie of all time. Week after week you heard the same thing - how hard it was, how injured she was, how old she was, how much more difficult it was for her than anyone else etc. etc. etc. She must have known what she was letting herself in for before she signed on the dotted line - but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

If she is going on the ice again - she does know what she is letting herself in for! However I'll bet other posters a stick of toffee to a peppermint drop that all she will do is moan, moan, moan and then moan some more.:yawn:

I can see her not lasting another series of DOI Friday, should they decide to make one. Do we have any alternatives to Colleen - people known for TV presenting who've appeared on the show and might actually want to revisit their time doing it?

Andrea Mclean - another Loose Woman I know - but hosted the Defrosted show with Andy Peters a few years back and made a half good job of it I thought. Colleen looks petrified in front of the cameras and doesn't have the presenting skills to hide it,

Andrea and Andi made a really good team - they were fun, funny and professional.

Ben is good but La Nolan lets him down big time, and the only reasson she is going back on the ice is because he did it last week.

I think Coleen is really bad as a presenter, she seems so uncomfortable, trying constantly to be funny and comes across as a bit superior when she talks about other skaters which is hysterical when you remember what she was like as a competitor on Dancing on Ice. The fact she says she hated being on the show and the skating is, in my opinion, rather refreshing as it gets boring hearing every competitor say they will continue skating (as they get voted off the show). Amazing isn't it that Mike was voted out last week when he starts a tour with Boyzone!! Great timing. I like Ben but he does not seem comfortable with Coleen. Surely it would have been possible to get an ex-competitor who was a good skater to co-present the Friday show. That blonde girl who used to date one of Ant and Dec (I do not know which one!!) was a great little skater and you do not see her on anything now! She would have been a better presenter. Also Coleen should not bite the hand that feeds her as she has got a lot of work (and Nolan Tour) since she appeared on DoI.
