OK so we've had

Hayley 3.0- A few weeks ago when she excellent
Heather 4.0- In week 1 when she was bad then a 2.5 the next week when she was brilliant.
Suzanne Shaw 4.0- Different series but I remember the big argument over it.
Gary 5.0- Over the last 3 weeks. The first of these three deserved a 4.0 at most the next week 5.0 was slightly overmarked. Last week was just appalling he deserves a 2.5. His favouritism of Gary is disgusting to watch.
Danniella's Tango- 4.5. As a Danniella fan this routine was probobaly her worst except the Grease one yet he gave his highest mark of the series for Danniella to her poorest routine where she stumbled.
Everyone in week 3- They all got 2's and 2.5's from him. Kieron 2.5, Hayley 3
Danny's 2.5- That was undermarked and wierd espically when Gary got a 5 that week.
Bobby 2.5- The one week Bobby skated he got a 2.5 from Nicky was this really on par with Danny's Sherry routine which had lots of solo skating and big lifts???



Anyone want to add anymore to this list. His scoring is unbelievably bad.

He is very inconsistent...

Sorry but Jason's three was just as "disgusting", if you want to be over dramatic, as Nicky's 5.

One of the joys of this show is seeing which set of random numbers Nicky picks each week. I'm thinking of making a game out of it.

I dont' always agree with Nicky but I can often see where he's coming from. He seems in general to mark very much from a skating content point of view which is why he rates Gary so highly being as Gary performs routines with a high technical content and is very smooth and strong on the ice although he lacks the spark to bring his performances to life (hence Jason sees him as DULL).

When Danny got the low scores it was due to the unfinished moves - crossovers not crossing, cheated turns, scratchy edges etc.

Sometimes though his marking is just unfathomable!

I think with Nicky it's attention seeking - he knows he will get asked to speak if he gives a higher or lower score than the others.

Like giving Coleen and Melinda a 4.5 then giving Ray a 5.

Yeah we should have another thread on Jason's dumbass marking. Jason often gives dreadful marks whereas Nicky is all over the place.


Yeah I think that's exactly the reason. It's bizarre, sometimes he gives an awful mark and when asked for his opinion he gives a glowing appraisal and I fail to understand how he can give a crap score yet very positive feedback. And other times he congratulates the contestants even though it's obvious that their routine was pitiful.

'Walk On By', from 60's week. Nicky sort of had a point in that there was very little skating in it, but as the other judges point out Suzanne performed it beautifully.

That said the next week she decided to prove Nicky wrong and that was the week she did 'Music'.

Seems to be the case on tour. 2.5's for Emily. She's not that bad apparently she's improved. I was really annoyed when he gave 3.0 to Melinda last year.

Was this on tour? I remember when I went in Belfast. Donal MacIntyre guest judge gave Zoe a 6. He gave everyone 6's, Karen, Ruthie and Robin gave 5's / 5.5's and Nicky gave a 4. And Nicky gave Todd 3.5

Then Nicky was about to comment and everyone booed like crazy cause it was in Belfast and Zoe's from Belfast and they didn't talk to Nicky cause everyone was booing like mad lol.

Nicky's scores are just bizarre.

Yes he gave Melinda a 3.0. She deserved at least 4.5, she was better than Roxy.

I never seen Roxy cause she was injured but I thought Melinda was good she was marked low by Nicky IIRC. I remember Ruthie marked higher than all the other judges, Donal gave everyone 6, Nicky marked the lowest. I think Nicky might of given Melinda a 4 and I thought she was better than that.

Todd got 19.5 when I went.

on tuesday at the tour nicky thoguht rays dance was better than hayleys so only gave hayley a 5

LOL but Nicky gave Todd a 3.5 and Zoe a 4 and we were in Zoe's home country which made the audience boo like crazy.

Another example is giving Danniella a 4 in the semi-finals which was very undermarked considering she didn't make any mistakes and did big lifts and gave a great performance IMO.

How did Zoe deserve a 4.0? A 4.5 at least. Her "The Boy Does Nothing" routine was excellent on tour. And Todd 3.5. Ridiculous.

I agree regarding Danniella. She got a 4.5 from him for her Tango Routine (arguably one of her worst), but in the semi final she gave a brilliant performance and ok solo skate. But then he did give Hayley a 5.0 and Kieron a 4.5 and Gary a 5.5 I think.

Don't forget Nicky is an ICE DANCER..... Daniella's Tango routine was pretty close to the sort of thing they would do in a compulsory dance in competition - as was Jess' Cheek to Cheek routine last year.

He was probably marking them up for doing what it said on the label - Dancing on ice in a recognisable ice dance!

Well I'm glad it's not just me who thinks Nicky's scoring is stupid! I went to one of the Sheffield tour dates earlier this month and I booed him like mad when he gave Emily 2.5 - and then again when he stopped Hayley's 'Jai Ho' getting the perfect score!!

Another one I remember was when Ellery and Melinda where in the skate off last year Ellery fell and missed the required element then stumbled again and Melinda did everything correctly yet he saved Ellery.

And his tour scoring was bizarre.
