I love songs that are slow and relaxing and make you feel like melting away and falling asleep.

Neil Sedaka's Laughter in the rain makes me feel like this.

Wait, this doesn't make me sleep, it just "makes me forget everything else", if you know what I mean?

But as for falling asleep, a good old bit of Michael Buble or Coldplay tend to do the trick

I always think listening to Being Boring by the Pet Shop Boys feels like being wrapped in a warm blanket - a really lovely song.

I agree with those ones by Air as well, in fact the whole of Moon Safari is very relaxing.

At night when listening to my ipod, I always fall asleep before the end of Everything Will Be Alright by The Killers. It's very hypnotic.

Jeff Buckley's voice tends to make me drift into calm, usually Lover You Should've Come Over. Such a wonderful singer.

I agree with this one, I just seem to sink into a floaty trance.

Ah, you can't beat a bit of good old Coldplay when you need to sleep!

I find Fix You to be the one that sends you off. But not Politik. That wakes me up, the loud intro.

Generally not a fan of chillout type stuff, but one track from Cocteau Twins' Bluebell Knoll album has the strange effect of putting me in a kind of trance if I'm in the right mood:

But then Liz Fraser has the voice of an angel, she puts you on another planet.
