so the listings should be as follows :

8.30 Big Brother 5 : Launch Night
The Housemates enter the house

9.00 Friends
season finale

9.30 Friends
season finale - part 2

10.00 Big Brother 5 : Launch Night
continued

i always love the first night, you never know whats gonna happen, any immediate twists!!

i don't know why there is just a half an hour show at 8.30, will they be able to enter all 12 housemates in only 30 minutes!

it would of been better if it was like this - 8.30 Big Brother - launch night, 9.30 Friends, 10.30 Big Brother

When you think of it, it's a great gig.

No work for a good month or so (more of course if Joe Public and the rest of the inmates take to you), food bought and paid for, a few undemanding 'tasks' (please God, let the tasks be better this year), a pool, jacuzzi to play in & the chance to work on your tan, it's a small price to pay really for all the publicity (good & bad) you'll attract

Not to mention the fact you get hounded by the press and so do your friends and family. You iwll not be able to have a private life after coming out of the house without moving to another country, not to mention all the crap you will get from the public when doing something simple like shopping if you have been made to look bad by the producers.

They could not pay me £700,000 let alone £70.000

You forgot to put the bit about being discussed intimately on public forums by people you've never met

And I agree, no money would persuade me to enter the house

They definately shouldn't put the boys and the girls in together. The producers always whinge later on about the boy/girl divide - thats because they meet each other first. Do it in alphabetical order, and you also are thinking 'Oooh, who can the final girl be?'

Dont forget the public. Who will vote out the interesting ones and the ones likely to make good tv because they are 'irritating' and then the same public will complain 'oh BB is so boring this year'.

Metafis, you are definitely not the only one, the novelty tends to wear off after about the 75th repeat!!! My family will have to watch Friends on E4 on Thursday 27th because the Sky remote will be clutched firmly in my mitt from 9.00p.m. on the 28th May and will stay there till nine (or ten??) weeks later!!!!

i remember last year, big brother started at 9pm on channel 4 then continued on E4 with Big Brother Live, then at 10.45 it was the surprise nominations on channel 4

So, Yes!, you probably will be able to switch to E4 during Friends for Live Streaming! - INCLUDING TOP UP TV CUSTOMERS!!

Last years launch night started at 8.30pm, not 9.00pm. It was the worst launch night ever, and so boring. It lasted an hour, and started with 7.5 million viewers and peaking with 8 million. By 9.00pm, only about 4 or 5 million were still watching. I don't blame them. They dragged it out for too long.

Half an hour is fine. All we need is a good introduction from Davina and a quick explanation of this years show. Then a tour of the new house. All of this can be done in about 5 minutes. Then, they can show us details of the new housemates, which will take about another 5 minutes. Then, if they are very quick, then they could have all the housemates inside in 10 minutes. Then, we could have 10 minutes of live coverage. Perfect! Then, when Davina returns at 10.00, she can talk a bit about the housemates and we can have some live coverage.

By the way, I think Big Brother also returns at 11.35pm, for 2 hours of live coverage on Channel 4!

this is making me so excited!, just talking about channel 4 and 2 hours of live coverage!
not forgetting E4's Live streaming in the gap of shows! and the interactive service, choice of camera angle, news, news ticker and vote!

yes, i just remembered it did start at 8.30 last year, but when you say about the quick introduction by Davina, tour of house, housemates in by 10 minutes - all well said!, but you must remember the 3 minute adverts and the new titles and the contestant profiles!

I also have a science biology module on the 27th, so that Friday should be a good one.

Big bags of Doritos all the way.
