Omg, awful! They should have left it in the past......especially as 2 people who sang on it are no longer there!

Haha, the DJ just called them fakes, and that it's an outrage they could even be performing it! Lolz....

Oh please, nobody genuinely gives a shit aside from fanboys with nothing better to do.

And if you were actually objective, you'd see why many deem the current line-up superior to previous line-ups. They have a stronger stage presence through the new choreography they add to the back catalogue, new ad-libs and of course their overall vocals.

And this "Sugafakes" crap is pathetic. I still cannot believe people would rather the back catalogue was locked away and never performed again, than actually put to good use.

Naive numpties, listen up: Keisha, Mutya and Siobhan are never going to be allowed to perform any of the 2.0 or 3.0 tracks, aside from the odd unbilled not-for-profit cover here or there. Universal Music owns them, and they'll remain exclusive to the current line-up, even if Sugababes were renamed to something else.

yeh i wish people would just leave it be! its all manufactured anyway, its not like 'freak like me' was actually an original sugababes song. its 2 old tunes mashed together. anyway, jade sounds better on it

Owell. Sure I heard this from Adina Howard beforehand. Come on... I don't think that the originals are really going to feel butthurt over this.

Correct. The song is a cover anyway so Sugababes effectively were 'stealing it' in the first place.

People just need to deal. At the end of the day Mutya and Siobhan dont deserve any say in anything to do with the band. Heidi has said she wont do ANY songs from before she was in the band and Heidi has as much right to do songs from 'Freak Like Me' onward as Keisha has to sing songs from 'Overload' onward with Amelle and Heidi.

Of course we know it's a cover!

They are using it the same Sugababes 2002 arrangement tho! The station said maybe they shouldn't play it again, cos everytime they get a raft of texts lols!

What people need to understand is that some people/fans dont like this behaviour, others find it acceptable. People just need to accept everyone's views!

"Behaviour"? It's not behaviour! It's them doing thier jobs! It was Heidis FIRST single in the group! Thier first number 1! If anything it highlights her more than any of the other 5 members.

Sorry but this is just stupid, its not like they were singing Overload. Heidi was a Sugababe when they released Freak Like Me. She'd been with them for 8 months prior to its release and she got them their first number one with it. Its her song just as much as it is Keisha's or Mutya's.

I'm sure when Keisha, Amelle and Heidi were together no-one would have cared if they'd sung Overload, New Year or Follow Me Home. Yet its the exact same principle.

This is just pathetic and quite frankly the amount of people obsessively criticising this new line up is making me worry about our society.

Firstly, We are all fully aware that there is a new line up and since they are called 'Sugababes' they automatically have right to sing all songs by the 'Sugababes'. I'm not sure why people are so against that.

Secondly, Heidi is one of the original singers of Freak Like Me (and yes, i'm fully aware it's a mashup/cover) which means that it is just as much her song as Keisha or Mutya. I do wonder whether people would have had this reaction had it have been Heidi who left the band and Keisha, Amelle and Jade were singing this. The situation would be exactly the same.

Thirdly, Freak Like Me, Round Round, Hole in the Head and Too Lost in You are classic pop songs. Are we meant to forget they exist now. Stop taking everything so seriously and get over it. The new lineup sound fantastic and need be stopped getting treated like wannabes.

Finally, 'Sugafakes'?!?! How old are you? 12

Are people still going on about this? Really? it's been 6 months. Perhaps its time to chill out and get over it.

It's absolutely ridiculous to call them whores because they use sex appeal like err...Christina, Britney, Beyonce, Shakira, Pussycat Dolls, Girls Aloud and just about every other female artist.

Grow up. If you have such a vapid hate for them then stop following them. Simples.

The original songs have been around for so long I find it quite refreshing to hear a new take on them.

Some people just can't handle change (rickyjune).

Too much time on your hands huh???

They aren't the Sugababes to some people, everyone's entitled to have an opinion. Just because you want to worship the ground Heidi walks on doesn't mean everyone has too. Get over yourself!!

Why? Because i spent 3 minutes typing up a post

It's nothing to do with worshipping Heidi. It's just the fact people seem to be writing her off as if she's not worthy to call herself a Sugababe. Give her some credit.

No because opinionated people are making you worry about society

It's not that she's not worthy of being called a Sugababe, its the pretentious attitude. It's a complete lack of disrespect on their part, not acknowledging the fact that some people will be upset and annoyed that they're calling themselves the Sugababes when...they're anything but. Heidi may to some people be able to credit herself as a Sugababe but the other 2 cannot.
Add onto that Heidi is not an ORIGINAL Sugababe and you can see why people are annoyed.

In all honesty the fact its been admitted they'll not sing anything from the One Touch era...shows how they are not the Sugababes. A bands history starts from the first album...this group is completely erasing the foundations on which Sugababes were formed...whether it was successful or not it was their foundation. None of these members were there for that first album and that speaks volumes.

Well it wasn't even their arrangement, was it? It was Richard X's, who did the mash-up a couple of years previously. For people who got into the 'mash-up' scene in 2000/2001, the Sugababes version marked the end of that particular underground

(although to this day some people seem to think a 10 year-old 'scene' is still edgy and happening. Instead of scenes & trends changing every few years like they did in the 60s & 70s, since the late 80s generation gaps have vanished and trends become 'lifestyles' (oops - getting way off topic now...))

Actually the 'worried about society' wasn't meant to be taken seriously

Didn't Heidi sing on that song, & it became their first UK number one..?

I believe so.

I mean, hate them all you want & waste all your free time in them if you want, but can you be a bit more creative than "Sugafakes"?

Siobhan & Mutya walked - if they loved the band & brand so much, then why leave in the first place...?

"Freak like me" was a Gary Numan "Are friend's Electric" rip off anyway!

I love the Heidi, Amelle and Jade version of Freak like me.

I am unsure why the OP is getting their knickers in a twist. Heidi featured on the single, and has every right to perform it. Some Sugababes singles you associate more with one member and freak like Me has always been a Heidi song...

and Amelle has been performing it for the last five years - probably an equal amount of time that Mutya was performing it!

"Sugafakes" Haha I love it.

People need to accept on here that some people DON'T like the new line up and we are in our right to say so.
