Why not make your own curry and chips at home? Cheaper, tastier and you'll know what's gone into it, unlike the additive laden rubbish sold in the supermarket.

Can you really make curry and chips for less than £1 at home?

I don't think anyone is going to dispute that making your own meals from scratch are both more nutritionally beneficial and economically practical; but no one likes having the self same message rammed down their throats, that makes the whole thing much less appetising.

A little of what you fancy...

If you're eating curry and chips then I doubt you're that bothered about its nutritional value.

ASDA sell a lot of food quite cheap.

Don't quite understand what's funny about it. Their 8p noodles are gorgeous.

Then tell us how to do it Mantey. It's time to show us all that you actually mean what you say and show us that you are not a troll.

I know you weren't replying to me but I think it could be done :-

Jalfrezi:

2 tomatoes (skinned and chopped)
1 onion
1 clove garlic
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp garam masala
2 tsp turmeric
oil
lemon juice
salt
sugar

and obviously potatoes for chips. Assuming you had the ingredients in and that the curry had no meat in, it might come to less than a pound! Definitely couldn't be done without meat though.

No fluffy, not a Jalfrezi but a curry sauce like chip shop style.
