I'm seeing lots of these springing up lately, but have yet to sample their fare, as I can't decide what to try. Looks very nice and posh though.

What have you tried from there? Was it pricey? Was it worth it? Is it really anything special or is Greggs better?

Much better than Greggs IMO. Pricey, but their bread is lovely and their mini quiches are delicious (my fave is the Epinard Saumon). We like to eat in their restaurants in Marylebone and Covent Garden sometimes. You pay a bit more, but you get some dishes you can't get in the take away bit and their side salads are yummy!

There are loads of them in France, but they tend to compliment the independent bakers.

Their hot chocolate is superb - very rich. Mocha is well above the average.

Only ever had croissant or pain au chocolate on the food side but both are pretty good.

Damn, I knew it, I knew I should've got a hot chocolate. I've just come back from Canary Wharf, I popped to Paul and got a Poulet Citron (lemon chicken) warm panini, which was very very tasty, and a strawberry tart, which was amazing! The two things came to over £7 and was very rich, so I will just leave my visits to Paul as an ocassional treat!

I've had a few different sandwiches out of there and they have all been lovely.

BUT, whatever you do, don't buy a macaroon if you live anywhere near where there is one of these shops.
You will be instantly addcted and they are a bit steep for a takeaway cake, really. But they are absolutely gorgeous.

I go to London once a month or so and here's a Paul stall in Euston, so all the way there on the train I'm dreaming of my macaroooooooony treat. Yum.

I regularly purchase a Pauls Patisserie chocolate croissant with a cappucino when I have no time for breaky at home.
They are soooooo yummy and the best I have had over here. Their fruit tarts look divine too. I must try one soon lol

The macaroons are divine, almost as good as the ones I had from Harrods pattiserrie, the flan is good and so are the filled tarts, they also do the most amazing steamed hazlenut milk..can you tell that my workplace is very near to one?
