I am a big fan of "The Ventures" and back in the sixties I got fed up having to tell my mates who they were as they were at the time biggest world wide sellers around (instrumental band). One claim was that every second someone, somewhere around the world was buying a "Ventures" LP. They sold billions in Japan and would tour there over and over again. They are now in "The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame".
Now I like "Pendragon" |

Mark is such a great performer- one of the best gigs I have ever been to was just him and another musician
![]() Shame the last two albums have sucked so badly ![]() Of the last 2 albums I like End Times, it has echos of Electro Shock Blues. Hombre Lobo had it's moments, but along with Soul Jacker one of the worst |

I love loads of bands my friends don't like
Gerry and The Pacemakers Herman's Hermitts Bay City Rollers Showaddywaddy D:Ream Human League etc My favourite Band, Status Quo, gets the most mickey taken out of it. In fact, I've never known any band get such a bad press that people are just ignorant to anything they do. As with any band, I say listen to the ALBUMS, not the singles, the singles are designed to sell loads, the albums are also but they contain more and can be surprising. |

I am a huge fan of them and was gutted to see Ryan and Jon leave, but am looking forward to The Young Veins' material. Quite like Change, it's a grower, has to be said. Very Beatles wannabe. And New Perspective by PATD is surely one of the most amazing songs ever? |

This is my life basically! I'm constantly asking friends to come with me to gigs or missing them beacuse I can't find anyone to go with! To be fair though most of the bands I like are only just becoming mainstream, or aren't at all. Bands like;
Family Force 5 You Me At Six Eisley The Hush Sound Meg and Dia The Veronica's ---------- As for me none of my friends/family like any of the music I like (or even heard of most of it). Luckily my other half likes most of the acts like: Katatonia Lifehouse Senser VNV Nation The Birthday Massacre De/Vision |

Besties split? It's hard to keep track of who split/reformed/stareted a new group these days. I am still after their album. Some reason I used to spell their name 'beasties' and wondered why I could never find their album listed anywhere
![]() but yeah, they split in december. i was talking to ricky and he said that the decision had come about as kelly had left new york as she couldn't put up with pit that was 79 lorimer that the song is named after haha. pity as they kicked ass imo... a band that deserved to be much bigger |

I've heard of and listen to all of them (well, most of them apart from CS, YMAS & KIGH, only have few songs from each artist on my iPod).

Love the Live In Chicago album by PatD definitely my favourite, took me a little while to get into Pretty. Odd but Northern Downpour remains their best track. Really liked the first album and pleased to hear that Mark Hoppus will be producing the next one
![]() If all our life is but a dream, Fantastic posing greed. Then we should feed our jewelry to the sea, For diamonds do appear to be, Just like broken glass to me. Just beautiful. Like Ryan's face a bit actually. And Mark Hoppus? I reckon they are going to make a more pop-punk record next (due for release this year apparantly). I actually think Brendon or Spencer recently said that NP is a taster of what to come, which is great cos I love the song. The Young Veins seem to be sticking to a very Panic sound though, which is also good, cos I don't want that sound to be lost completely. |
