So, after 'Battlefield' pretty much tanked as an era, depsite Battlefield being a No10 single in the US, whats the next step for Jordin? Is she heading back to the studio? Touring around Europe? any updates?

I personally think she should head back into the studio and go for some more upbeat stuff ala 'SOS' and stay away from Tedder. Its a shame she hasn't released more off the record...

Walking on Snow
Don't let it go to your head
Emergency (911)
The Cure

Would have all made good singles.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Jordin Sparks lacks star quality. She would need a Rihanna-type transformation to have a chance of making it really big.

I wonder who we could get to beat up Jordin Sparks

I wondered the same thing. Battlefield (the song) never became the huge hit many thought it would be (myself included). Had it been, the album wouldn't of flopped so badly. It's hard to think where she goes from here to be successful.

It's a shame really, as Battlefield is SUCH a choon.

She needs to promote herself here, she's only ever done one interview with Paul O'Grady. You need promotion you can't just release an album in a country your not well known and expect it to be a success. She's brilliant though, my favouite X-Factor style winner.

I hope she releases more singles off the album because there are some really good ones. I also like walking on snow, the cure and don't let it go to your head. I played the album for ages and was surprised when battlefield didn't chart as well as people thought. She is my favourite Xfaxtor style winner as well but unfortunately she does not seem to have enough hype surrounding her music. Hope she records more stuff though

I missed her on that but I saw her on London Today. Her visit in October was supposed to be a big promo tour but it didn't turn out to be anything like that for some reason.

There are far better singles she could have released, like others have mentioned. Walking On Snow is one. As much as I love Don't Let It Go To Your Head, I prefer the original version by Fefe Dobson.

She did release "Don't Let It Go To Your Head" but there was no video so it flopped

Interesting question regarding Jordin Sparks

All she does know it twitter a lot. She is very annoying on Twitter. She needs a re boost in her career. She could still release more songs from the album but it's been months since Sos was released and Dont let it go to your head never even had a video.

Maybe a re-release?

What's next for Jordin Sparks ? Well, she will head back to the studio and record another album. I think she will get another chance and if the next album bombs she might get dropped. Flops happen for many reasons but it's hard to explain why Battlefield album flopped in her home market as Battlefield, the single, was a Top 10 US hit.

Is her label mad???? Releasing a track without a video in this day and age is utterly rediculous

It was a complete joke. Very lazy by their label. They practically just named a song from the album and announced a random release date, imo. No airplay, no video, no promotion, nothing. The label just expected people to know it was being released.

I get the impression Simon Cowell isn't a fan

The US label haven't confirmed a third single yet and they would be the ones to pay for a video. I think the Battlefield era is over. The question now is whether or not they try another album or drop her.

He wasn't really, but it doesn't make a difference to her career. She's just part of a licensing deal he has with Idol, he doesn't have any real involvement with her.

She's signed to Jive who haven't had a great time with Idol contestants. She is now managed by Kevin Jonas (father of the Jonas Brothers) after "parting company" (allegedly being dropped) by Simon Fuller's 19 Management after her first album.

The only reason she flopped in the U.K is cos she didn't promote.

Wait....whose talking of dropping ? Why would her label consider dropping her, she's hardly a flop artist. I think that would be a stupid decision if they did.

Maybe they need to go in a different direction, and change her up a bit though.

Her manager (Simon Fuller) allegedly dropped her after the first album. The official line was that they "mutually agreed" to go their separate ways.

As for her record label dropping her... her album hasn't even made it to 300,000 sales worldwide which is bad. And it's not like she is coming in off of a big hit first album. It was tanking before the Chris Brown duet saved it and even then, it wasn't a huge seller. I reckon the label will probably give her another chance. But I don't think it's out of the question that they might drop her.

Shame, cos Battlefield is a very good and strong album....Anyone know what are the worldwide sales for Battlefield (Album)? xo

Wow, I didn't realise that her first album did so badly, especially seeing as both 'Tattoo' and 'No Air' went Top 10, with 'OSAAT' just missing it am I right?

Her first album didn't do too bad. It sold a million copies in the US. But worldwide, it wasn't a big seller.

It seems as if her Record label have forgotten about her. All she does is spend her days on twitter.
