MP3 and listen to Radio 5

Hi

Looking for an MP3 player and the ability to listen to Radio 5 - I can't find one with MW - why don't they exist?

So I guess that leaves MP3 with DAB radio - anyone suggest one with good reception that's good at picking/holding the signal. (I know this varies depending on your location but some DAB radios are better than others). Not bothered about video but need good battery life. thanks

Most MP3 players that come with radio only support FM transmissions. Mainly because that's the most popular band. You'd be lucky to find one that supports MW, especially in the coming years, as if I remember correctly, analogue radio frequencies are being removed, and taken over by digital. Just like what is/has happened with the TV services.

The iRiver B30 is a nice small player that does FM/DAB as well as music and video and has very good battery life (though DAB is a bit of a drain).

One of the best players on the market.

Does the iRiver (like the iPod) have a 'Remember Playback Position' which is essential for listening to audiobooks?

My advice would be the Cowon D2+ Dab mp3 player. Excellent sound, memory card expansion, and one of the best players around for audiobooks.
I use it for that purpose, it can remember the current position of what you are listening to, and also can store 256 bookmarks, from whatever file you are listening to.

A good place to buy one is:

If you need any other info just holler.

Thanks for that recommendation. I've just bought one. The DAB works fine - even at work where FM is rubbish.
