Make sure you get the region 1 version of The Simpsons as you can save so much money (R2 costs £39.99 and R1 costs £17.99).

If you get it at Play247 the delivery is free to all europeans (that includes the UK!).

Unless your DVD player only accepts Region 2... Which the majority of them over here only do.

You can easily get the software engineering code to unlock your player or you may need to change your chip inside the player to be free of any locks.

The best way is to just go to a search engine (e.g. Yahoo!) and just type in the player model number and you can then check out all the web pages to do with your player.

Next set is expected in first half of next year from what I am reading elsewhere. Apparently its going to be a release every 6 months.

For anyone looking for the region two set, I noticed WHSmiths are selling it for a more than reasonable £29.99, and along with all DVDs it's included in the buy one get one half price offer, so if you buy it with another £29.99 DVD you can save about £15....if only series two was out too!

To find out if your model of dvd player can be remote hacked then head on over to this site. If it is then the instructions on how to do it will be included:

http://www.dvddebate.com/sections.ph...ticle&artid=14

Also in answer to the query as to when Season 2 will be released then your in luck as Matt Groening And Fox Home Entertainment are pushing for a pre-Christmas release date.

By the way, I got my R1 copy from http://www.play247.com on Thursday and its really great. The packaging is second to none and if you have discs such as Independance Day or The Abyss then the discs are all on the one sleeve that fold up to fit neatly into the outer case. At first I thought they would come in separate boxes like so many other dvd box sets, but IMO this is better as it saves some space on my shelves for more dvds that I purchase in the near future.

Are there any English subtitles on the DVDs, as acrooding to Play247 there are only Spanish subtitles - which I find a bit odd.

Thanks,
Mark

You'll be pleased to hear that yes the R1 version has got both English and Spanish Subtitles and not just Spanish as Play247 states.
