Now that Hayley has achieved all 6's, surely the only way to go for her now is to get 5.0's and 5.5's (alongside a few 6's ofcourse)? She can't get 30 every week surely?

If I remember rightly- Ray got his first 30 around about this time last year, maybe even earlier?? and after that he got around the 26-28 mark plus a couple of 30's and it didn't really matter to him!!

I agree with this, I think it is a shame that she can not 'improve' any more....as you can't beat full marks. It's harder to be at the top and stay there, rather than work your way up....in my opinion.

They could always show increased amazement by giving the others even lower marks, or by doing cartwheels or passing out in bliss rather than merely stranding up and clapping.

They could give 6+, 6 with merit or 6 with distinction.

What does it matter if she doesn't manage it again? No-one expects anyone to be able to do that, it would be impossible. Just like no-one gets 40 every week on Strictly, those kind of scores are few and far between. She'll still be at the top though, the others have a long way to go to match her.

I think someone else will come top of the board this week. In my opinion, Hayley is way ahead of the others but I think prop weelk is the week that they can shake it up.

The marks are usually different because they can +/- for things like control of the prop, use of prop etc which they can't do on any other week.

I just can't see them having Hayley at the top every week (even though she thoroughly deserves it imo).

It's not just about what the judges think, my favourite routines of Ray, Chris and Kyran are not their highest scoring. I would imagine Endless Love will be as popular as Jai Ho for Hayley and who knows what she could produce in the next two weeks, maybe it won't be perfect, that doesn't mean it won't be brilliant.

Occasionally you get a routine which blows you away. "Mr Bojangles", "Bolero" and "Jai Ho" have done it for me and I always remember a short programme skated by Torville and Dean to "You Don't Send Me Flowers". It is something that stays with you for a very long time.

Hayley was very lucky to be given that choreography because it was amazing. She skated it so well. I don't think she will achieve a perfect score every week but she is a wonderful performer but, at the end of the day, Hayley was professionally trained in The Performing Arts so maybe she does have a huge advantage over the other contestants and that should be taken into consideration.

As was Daniella, and as actors, probably Danny, Kieron and Gary were aswell

I should have said Hayley does have an advantage over most of the other contestants as she has been trained in "dance" and has taken the lead in musicals - Rocky Horror Show for one. I can't speak for Daniella but Gary certainly hasn't had that kind of training and I don't think Kieron has either. They have studied Drama but that is a completely different ball game.

You cover everything at stage school - dance, acting, singing, performance skills etc. If anything, some of the other contestants should be better because of this but I haven't seen any startling performance skills.
Also, as a member of a pop group, Mikey is also dance trained.

IMO, Hayley does not have a huge advantage - she's just miles ahead in every sense.

Hayley has no more dance training than Daniella and LESS than Jeremy and possibly Heather if you count her months of one-on-one with professional ballroom dancers.

It should be completely obvious that the dance ability and experience Hayley already had before DOI has given her a big advantage, and whatever dance training some of the others had does nothing to change that.

I think it's a mistake to look only at dance training. Often whatever training someone had is years ago and makes little difference now.

What dance training has Daniella had, btw? Are you just assuming she must have had some because she went to a stage school, or is it something more?

Daniella freely admits she had some dance training at Stage School how much she hasnt said and it does vary depending what your interests are.

Re routines just cos marks may go down after achieving 30 doesnt really mean the skaing has Im sure as with Ray they will up the anti making routines more difficult etc Ray achieved his 30 on week 6 and nearly did the same the week after with the RNR routie achieving 29.5

I am sure Kieron and Gary did not go to Stage School. Drama School is cifferent - they teach you how to act, project your voice and stuff like that. Stage Schools teach musical theatre and dance. Hayley does have unfair advantage whatever you say. She is very good but she does dance professionally. Gary Lucy and Kieron can't dance for toffees and whatever performance skills they have they acquired whilst working for Dancing on Ice.

Gary is much better technically - he doesn't have the performance background.

Dunno about Gary, but Kieron definitely didn't. His only training was at the Manchester School of Acting, which just runs relatively short screen acting courses.

Oh really ?! I was under the impression that she was an ACTRESS that used to be on 'Emmerdale' but silly me for getting my facts mixed up - she's obviously a professional dancer.

Emmerdales not all she'd done though and she has done lots of musical theatre stuff, Grease, Boogie Nights, etc etc which includes lots of dancing and if she got paid then that's professional dancing.
Apparently she trained in dance at Phil Winston's Theatreworks, and Laine Theatre Arts.

Are you possibly thinking of 'I Won't Send Roses'? That was a beautiful routine they did to the song from Mack and Mabel. One of my all-time faves.

Gazb2 you really need to get your facts straight. Hayley took the lead in "The Rocky Horror Show" - she went to Stage School, has appeared in musicals and has danced in them. She is a professional musical artiste who can act and shot to fame in "Emmerdale.

Obviously appearing in Fame, Grease and A Chorus Line would need the artiste to be able to act, sing and dance and to perform at the highest level so professional dance training would be essential.

I think Hayley is very talented but she is a professional singer and dancer and therefore has a massive advantage over the others which, in my book, is very unfair.
