David Seaman in 'quickie' divorce

ROTHERHAM-born goalkeeper David Seaman has been divorced by his wife - after he left her for Sheffield ice-skating star Frankie Poultney.
The 46-year-old former England goalkeeper's wife Debbie, who is in her 40s, was granted a quickie divorce on the grounds of his adultery.

He left her and their two children for Sheffield-born skater Frankie, 37, after meeting her on the set of DanADVERTISEMENTcing on Ice when he was a contestant in 2006.

Frankie left her husband, who she lived with in Canada, in 2008, and they moved in together in 2009 - living in a riverside apartment in Buckinghamshire.

Their decree nisi was pronounced at the Family Division of London's High Court, taking just three minutes 25 seconds.

In documents released by the court, Debbie Seaman said she first became aware of the adultery last July.

In response to the question "do you find it intolerable to live with the respondent?", she replied "yes."

The documents showed Seaman admitted the adultery.

The couple, who married in July 1998, did not attend court for the hearing.

Their decree nisi stated their marriage had "broken down irretrievably".

Debbie has two children her former husband, who played for Arsenal and won 75 caps for England.

Seaman also has two children from his first marriage.

When news of the affair broke last summer his wife was said to have been "devastated".

Seaman retired from football in 2004 after 22 years.

Seriously though, I thought this was just a rumour. Wasn't Frankie married too? And as for her being 37, someone's having a tin bath surely? She only looks late 20s.

I thought he cheated on his wife with another woman but not Frankie. When did he go on tour because that's when they got together, apparently?

Oh and she's definitley in her late 30s because Danny Young said she's old enough to be his mum!

If my memory serves me right, wasn't David Seaman a very popular contestant even though he wasn't very good?. So why the hate now. I personally could never understand why he was popular. I don't think his relationship break up was anything to do with Frankie.

Not sure about 2008, but he certainly wasn't on the 2009 tour.
