Britain's gonna do crap but in all seriousness this years song is rubbish and so is the singer.

Its so cheesy and cringe-worthy i think Jades song last year was SOOOO much better.

The whole show was embarrassing. Some of them sang so badly out of tune, as well as having less than average voices, but the judges praised them. At first it was annoying, after a while it was just funny.
Then hearing the actual song was even worse.I heard it 4 times but it didn't grow on me at all.
The best bit was when they showed clips of contestants from other countries and one singer had large ears and Graham Norton said - he looks like he has an ear for music.

Yeah-the BBC clearly showed the worst entries to give Norton a few funnies.

Whilst I was'nt crazy on last years song, I was saying to one of my freinds how could they have gone from LLoyd-Webber who is incredibly talented to Peter Waterman-there is no middle ground.

I missed the first two acts but was 'lucky' enough to catch the group of five who the BBC had put together-where from the staff canteen?

It was like someone had gone down Oxford Street and picked 5 people at random.

Then we had Waterman making comments like, 'oh well the harmonies have to be perfect when covering a STEPS song' (LOL)-who's he kidding. The tall brown haired one in that group could'nt sing a note and dont get me started on H (oh I thought I was undectable in terms of my sexuality)

A complete joke-nil, nada, last again.

I love it. Played it 10 times already. Going to be the biggest single of 2010

So last year we took it seriously and FINALLY came in the top 5.
And then we just go back to a blatant mockery of Eurovision with not only a cheesy song but one that drags us kicking and screaming back into the 90s?

And dear God, NONE of the contestants could hold a tune.
Where on earth did the producers FIND those people!?

I'm so annoyed. The only thing good about the show is that I now have "i'm in loooooooooove with a fairytale, even though it hurts, 'cause i don't care if i lose my mind, i'm already cursed -violin noisessss-" stuck in my head again after a year of not having heard it.

I'd say 80s...I hope Kim Wilde's getting ready to sue.

The song isn't just bad...it's boring and bad, sung by a singer with the charisma of a stale cheese sandwich.

I think Waterman & Stock know it to.

I think Mike Stock's face when Josh won and the show was ending said it all really...

Before it started I thought 'we'll be bloody lucky if they've written a decent song' and lo and behold it's a piece of crap! Dire lyrics and music lifted from various other songs with their usual beat over it.

Problem is it's not even so bad it's good or funny. It's just...meh. I don't care how we do. Last place likely.

I didn't watch the programme yesterday and I am not going to watch the Eurovision programme. I gave up years ago as it seems to make a laughing stock of us. We will never win again so why don't the BBC or whoever decides to do it, pull out and save our money? I know we fund a lot of it but why should we?

'kids in america' innit...

bloody awful.

why tf did they draft in watertwit? 3 years ago a 'pure pop' act (scooch, another watertwit product werent they?) utterly failed so why bring in the grandfather of pure pop is utterly bizarre.

the theme for winning in recent years is to inject a folk flavour to the track... alexander rybak, ruslana, etc and imho thats what eurovision should be about. unless our euro neighbours go all retro and cheesy then we have NO chance.

But even for Eurovision the UK entry this year is so dated - 1980 throw back, but what do you expect from Waterman & Stock. Think Scandanavia and Baltics know how to write Eurovison songs these days.

Show was awful, the sound/mike levels in the studio were terrible - deliberately so?

I thought it was a very cheesy song
80's/90's throwback - awful. ALW's song was simple, even anthemic, this sounds like a Steps tribute.

I'm surprised they had him on, as it so showed up how poor our stuff was (plus he's hot )

Jedward would actually have been a better option.

That doesn't sound good to me. I don't think I've ever witnessed anything so appallingly listless in all my life. I've trod in discarded chewing gum with more charisma than that entire 3-minute 'experience'.

I remember Jade's actual Eurovision performance being miles better than the one on Your Country Needs You, so I'm not giving up hope just yet. Thank god theres 2 months before the contest, we're gonna need them.
