The song is not up to her previous standards, and teaming up with vacant bland Beyonce is never a good idea. There's a distinct gap in quality between this and the song/video for 'Paparazzi' for example. Also it is a litany of unsubtle product placements which screams 'I sold out'.

A glorious video (despite the appalling Virgin Mobile product placement) but it's a poor track. Or maybe the video's just so indulgent and overlong that it ruins the flow.

Either way, GaGa isn't going to prove anything by pixelating it out! And oh yeah - Beyonce is still Alpha Female.

Telephone is a brilliant song IMO and this is one of the best videos made for ages. The product placement funds the big production of the video, the record companies don't want to pay out for huge videos so they have to get the money from somewhere.

Oh come ON. The obvious product placement is just a piss take, a tongue in cheek look at all the product placement we see in tv/music these days.

Unless they made a completely new video which changed the whole theme of the original, it will never get shown on tv. Did they not think of this when shooting the video?

I love the song and the video but I do think some parts of it are a bit too raunchy to go on the telly, so they should just cut those out to make the shorter edition for the edited version.

They might be tongue in cheeck but it's not as if they aren't still product placements. I don't think Diet Coke pays less for a satirical product placement than for a straightforward one. I suppose the robotic acting is satirical too. I do actually like a lot of GaGa's music by the way - Paparazzi is my ringtone.
