I wonder if any kind soul on here could advise me how long i need to cook a 2KG turkey breast roll, there are no cooking instructions on the bag.
It has been deboned and rolled up and it is in a white net an came from the fridge of a supermarket in a plastic bag.
I have removed it from bag and put it in a large baking dish, added lard, salt and pepper.

I have it cooking at 200 degrees c and was going on 30 minutes a pound plus 25 minutes total cooking time 2 hours 25 minutes.

Does that sound right?

I guess i will need to stick a skewer in and make sure no blood comes out.

Advice appreciated as i have just popped it into the oven.

Dont know if you've seen this site.

Following the generic joint advice, which yours is, then it could be ready in an 1.5 hours, depending on how you like it done.

I would say your timing is about right, although 2kg is about 4lb so it could even be a bit longer. Check it after the 2hrs 25mins is up for pinkness, and give it another half hour if it needs it. Seems odd that it had no cooking times on it!

Thanks for the advice, i think i would prefer to cook it longer than less, don't want to poison my Mom on Mother's Day!

No instructions not even on reverse of label - good job for this forum nd the Internet.
