All she said was that she and Danny aren't doing the tour, the lineup's great and she'll definitely go and watch at some point. The reason she's not on the tour this year is probably perfectly innocuous - she was injured during the 2008 tour and had a very bad fall during her pro routine with Dan and Matt in the 2009 tour, so perhaps she'd prefer to take a break than do the tour again. Or perhaps she and/or Danny have other commitments. Or perhaps the producers just wanted to mix things up a bit: none of the other contestants from previous years will be skating with their former pro partners so, if Danny's not doing the tour and they didn't want her to skate with Chris for the 3rd year running, it's possible they didn't have anyone else to pair her with, given that Ray is already skating with Alex.

She is now but no-one starts off as an adagio skater. I would imagine she was either a singles skater who went in to shows and due to her small stature and her abilities was put in to a pair or was a a pair skater who became an adagio skater when she turned pro.

Ice dancers do a lot of compulsory dance (for tests and competitions) where each couple skates the exact same steps to similar music at set tempos and its all about exact patterns, clean lines, skating to the beat, repeatability and requires great attention to detail.

They also do original dance which these days is almost like a free dance but to a set rhythm but has more rules than free dances. Then they do free dances which also have some set elements (eg need to contain a spin and twizzles these days) but can be any music with a beat.

Pair skaters do a short programme in which they have set elements they must do or be penalised and a long programme in which they can put in more or less anything although there are rules on the number and type of jumps and lifts and they have to include spins etc. They can use any music without words but dont' have the ice dance restriction of skating to the beat rather than the melody.

Generally pair skaters are not so obsessed with posture and lines and the dancey elements as the ice dancers.

If she's an adagio skater, that would definitely explain why her technique doesn't seem to be up to the standard of some of the other pros.

Maybe he can't trust himself at home alone while she's on tour and might go off with yet another woman!!!!

3 or 4 years ago Frankie was my fave female Pro, but my opinion of her started to go down hill as the (non)partnership with Chris Fountain progressed. Something I can;t put my finger on started to put me off.

Then this year with the stroppy comments on and off the live shows- I've started to actively dislike her. Which is a shame really as I rarely change my mind on people on TV in that direction

Matt is rehearsing alot with Frankie at that moment, and even said hint hint about it on his twitter. Has Frankie come out and said she isnt doing the tour or has she just said her and Danny arent touring? She could still be involved in a pro routine. Also Frankies fall last year was blown out of proportion, she skated on after it and just wasnt allowed skate in the evening show as a precaution, CF said after the show she was fine, the medical team were just being extra extra careful. It must have must but I'm sure she's suffered far worse, I dont think it would have affected her decision to do the tour at all.

From the sounds of things Matt & Frankie are doing a pr routine this week on the show, so I still don't think she is on tour.
