Just purely out of interest....

In the same way that Ricky didn't win Strictly, I think there's every chance of, say, a Kieron victory.

No...I think she will win it.

No, I can't see that happening. Kieron is not being pushed on us by TPTB. As much as I have a soft spot for Kieron, I don't think there can be much doubt that Hayley will win.

Agreed

No-one steps up to the plate tonight and challenges miss unstoppable then I will concede Hayley has got it wrapped up

Hayley has it in the bag.

Don't get me wrong. I think Hayley would be a worthy winner and is the one that I most enjoy watching. It's just I got my fingers burned with the SCD result and so don't want to count any chickens.

That said, I take the point that there's no 'Team Cola' equivalent going on around Kieron. Maybe I'm letting a vocal minority of Hayley dislikers on here cloud the picture.

I agree - all it needs is the one routine similar to the Charlston/Chris routine for the momentum to build up for Kieron and who knows what`ll happen.

I know Hayley won't win. Not as outstanding as Ray and not likeable enough.

Well I know Hayley WILL win.

See, 2 can play at this...pathetic...game!

And not likeable enough ?!? Do you not realize she is the only contestant left that has never been in a skate off??!?

Sounds pretty 'likeable' to me...HEN !

No such thing as a certainty - ask any gambler who has lost his shirt on a horse or the spin of the roulette wheel.

imo on performances to date Hayley deserves to win, but I'm talking of performances. Other voters will take into consideration the journey (), personality, likeability etc.

The human phsyche is not predictable - and long may it remain so.

To be fair, Quinn had last year won from day 1 and nobody was going to come close to challenging him

He could have a professional career he was that good

The reason Hayley hasn't been in the skate is not down to likeability, I can assure you.

I'd explain why to you but am certain it would just go in one ear and out the other.

True.

The same can't be said for Hayley, imo.

I can't see anyone beyond Hayley at the minute. She's significantly ahead of the others in terms of overall package. None of the others are doing anything to suggest they might challenge her. It doesn't seem as if any of the others have the popularity momentum behind them to counteract Hayley's performance lead. None of the others have come from a long way down to where they are at the minute a la Donal last year.

Unless one of the others has a "bring the house down" performance over the next couple of weeks, I think Hayley will walk this.

Agreed

But at least one person may disagree with you, not naming names of course

You need grounds to offer such assurances and unless you can provide some basis you don't know that for certain - indeed leaked polls suggest otherwise.

Of course they could be excessively wrong: wait and see might be the expedient solution.

I think it's very likely that Hayley will win, but not totally certain. A lot can happen.

I do think, though, that the only person who could present any sort of real challenge to her in terms of winning is probably Kieron. If he goes before the final, then she's a dead cert absolutely (and the final will be a bit dead too...).

Ideally, for the sake of a decent final, I hope Kieron and Hayley are both there! Which one of those two wins, I'm not actually too bothered.

Leaked polls suggest that Hayley is still in on her likeability?

I don't think so. For one, to be in the skate off she would need the least amounts of votes AND for the voting to disperse in a certain way. Very unlikely. She could be getting the least votes for all we know.

I think she probably will go on to win it. But nothing is ever certain. Anything can happen between now and the final. Might no more after tonight, the others need to start closing the gap to have a chance i think.

Leaked polls suggest that Hayley has topped both the judges vote and the viewers vote every week bar one. I'm in no position to judge why she leads the vote; nor are you - so your assurances are shall we say less than assuring. You're in no position to suggest she's bottom of the puboic vote - so let's wait and see.

It's interesting to compare this with SCD, in which Ricky was a clear favourite very early on, and certainly the favourite with the judges in comparison with Chris. Ricky was much the better dancer, but never grabbed the affection of the GBP in the way Chris did. It's not very scientific, but I used as my 'public opinion barometer' my local hairdressers, and the talk in Jimmy's was all of Team Cola.

But, with DOI, it's different. As far as I know, the women in the hairdressers who enjoy watching DOI don't necessarily post on forums such as DS. And there the general feeling is not only that Hayley will win but that she deserves to win. In other words, although the anti-Hayley faction on here may be vociferous, they do not not echo the view in Jimmy's. They all think she's lovely (and they love Dan, too).

Whether this approval will transfer itself into actual votes is less certain, of course. The psychology says that we are more inclined to vote if our favourite is the underdog.

Leaked vote results are usually b*****ks...

Not that I doubt that Hayley is popular, but I wouldn't give any credence to leaked figures really.

I 'd be surprised if Hayley didn't win, but who knows...I'd like Gary to be in the final with her.
