Daniella did a great job with the choreography she was given. I enjoyed her routine the most this evening.

I enjoyed Daniella's performance it was fantastic. But as a fan of ice skating I'm very disappointed. You can't do much with a chair other then sit in it and push but that was the least skating content I think I've ever seen on the show.

Yes but she did not skate on her own much. Hayley did.

Daniella probably was the best tonight and deserved to be top. I do think Danny and Kieron were also good though. Yes she may not have skated much, but what can you do with a chair? She did her best with what she was given and she did it really well.

This is a reason I hate prop week though. The skating takes a back seat.

I thought Dannielle did the routine she was given very very well, she performed it perfectly...
I did think that Kieran and Danny especially deserved better scores because their props demanded a little more from them.

But I thought all the routines were good tonight. I thought Gary though was the worst of a good bunch but that doesn't mean he was necessarily bad, he didn't have a character as such to perform.

I loved Daniella and Matt's performance, if anyone was overmarked it was Hayley, didnt even bother doing anything interesting with the brolly

They all did, I'm very surprised about the marking tonight, but as Robin said "the skating is taking a backseat tonight". Will be interesting to see what some of the forumites have to say that normally accuse Hayley of no skating and were praising Daniella as the best skater. Her routine was enjoyable, but she did not leave the chair.

Much as i enjoyed Daniella's routine, she was sat posing in a chair for the vast majority of it! That said, she did sell the routine and carachter well.

Well since I've only criticised Hayley for the difficulty of her skating not the amount she does I think I'm excused.

I actually think Daniella was over-marked in all seriousness though. Danny and Kieron shone for me tonight.

I wasn't thinking of you at all. I was really disappointed in Daniella's routine tonight, however, I understand that this is not her fault. However, I know if Hayley had skated that routine, all the people who enjoyed it when Daniella was doing it, would be screaming blue murder about the lack of actual skating. I'm sure you know I'm right. I don't like the unfairness of it all (and I like all of the contestants.).

Danny and Kieron were amazing, Kieron should have had higher marks.

I thought it was the most difficult prop and hardest to control to be honest but she did virtually no skating. It was an entertaining performance and she did it well but no way should it have been higher marked than almost every other contestant.

I agree. She acted the role to perfection, but there was little actual skating or dancing involved. After all, the programme is called "dancing" on ice. Personally, I don't know why they bother with the "props"..even Jayne and Chris don't appear particularly keen on them.

I think the hat was the trickiest prop to deal with. So fiddly and easy to drop, and there's less you can do with it.

You could be right I think it sounds easy but is as you say fiddly.

Matthew did very well controlling the chair - did you notice how he was really sweating afterwards?

Great performance from Danielle though despite the lack of skating.

I've heard it is, I'm crossing my fingers Danny isn't in the skate off in case he drops it.

Potential spoiler

Looks like Gary is in it from the betting odds but we'll see.

I agree. Danniella was great, but didnt do a lot of skating - surely you're still meant to do quite a bit of skating in the routine as well?

I agree but she did not choose her choreography, that's down to T & D and I don't think anyone will dare go against them after what happened with Sharon and Pavel.

I really enjoyed it. Just my opinion though.

Just had a look at Clare and Suzanne . Daniella spends a bit more than twice as long (50+ seconds) as Clare or Suzanne did sitting or kneeling on the chair and both of them got 24 or 24.5 with more lifts and extras like handstands and a flip lift. Its well acted but those two act better too. Its overmarked.

I enjoyed Daniella's routine, too, but I agree that, yet again, she didn't do much actual skating and was overmarked. The last time she had to hold herself up on the ice was about three weeks ago and she looked very shaky.
It would be a great shame for any of the other skaters to go out tonight, but it appears that thew judge's have chosen their favourite and, even if she's in the skate off, she'll stil be safe.
Hayley and Daniel's roiutine was superb, very elegant and controlled, but because it wasn't as explosive as last week's routine, Emma 'clueless' Bunton thought it 'lacked something'. Maybe she thought they should have had a bike on the ice, too. Then they could do the whole Butch and Sundance routine, and she might have been satisfied!
