Do they know that - he wasn't in the skate off last week or the week before which suggests he isn't unpopular with the public.

A Chair is one of the harder props to deal with along with the hat. an umberella is easier to handle along with a microphone that cant fall over.
the chair was a prop and not to point out the obvious but a chair is meant to be sat on... i would have been disappointed if all she had done was pushed it around...

well maybe her partner could have sat on the chair and she pushed him

What can be done with a chair other than sitting on it?

1. Push it
2. Pull it
3. Push it between Daniella and Matt
4. Push Matt in it
5. Jump over it
6. Jump off it
7. Do a handstand over it
8. Do the splits onit
9. Turn it onto its side
10. Flip it onto its front and roll under it
11. Use it as a competition and constantly tear it away from each-other
12. ... you get the point.

Instead we were stuck with
1. Daniella sits in it and Matthew pulls her by the arm.
2. Daniella sits in it and Matthew pulls her by the arm.

12. Daniella holds onto it and swings it around into a float spin.

I don't think I have EVER seen a contestant so overmarked in my LIFE !! She deserved NO more than a 4.0 !!!! Her feet never touched the ground, she did absolutely NO solo skating whatsoever...and it's ridiculous that she was top. Sure, her performance was good...but being on the ice just did not come into it - shockingly ridiculous, only brought about to stir up the competition - which is CRAZY !

Excellent post, Excellent observation. Yes I like Daniella, but she should not have got as much support as she did.

Quite frankly I think she could have done a lot more than just sit in it. She did not skate. All the rest had props which they had to skate with so why should she have such an easy ride. Maybe the chair should go.

Still, she was better than Hayley, eh?

(Joking! Just before you explode, gazb! )

It was crazily overmarked. And I like Daniella.

Yes and what if we had lost Kieron and she was still there?

I agree on the most part, but...how the hell could they tip it over and slide under it? The thing wouldn't have given much clearance between itself and the ice.

Not sure I fancy doing a handstand over a chair that's on wheels on an ice rink - sounds like a recipe for serious personal injury to me.

Also, you would need to get some serious ground clearance to be able to jump over it...again too dangerous, probably even for the pro's

She DID skate?
& it's not an easy ride at all. Sitting on a chair with wheels is just as dangerous (if not more) than the skating itself.

Chairs are for sitting in and Danniella sat in it extremely well.

She did skate...and for Psychosis, she did push and pull the chair.
No splits or handstands, unfortunately.

Her characterisation of the sexy secretary and "so dirty" (Jason) performance was brilliant. If she had gone after Hayley she might have got a 6.0 or two. But her actual skating was minimal. But that was the programme.

Why the need to get so vicious with me because I'm posting something you don't like? Get over it. I'm entitled to have an opinion about a performance on a TV talent competition.

Telling you to go to bed is hardly 'vicious', over exaggerating if ever I've seen it.

It's just getting a bit ridick (IMO) when you go on and on for the past three hours about how Daniella didn't do enough with a chair, because she didn't do handstands and cartwheels and the sorts over it. She pushed it, pulled it, sat on it, spun it and done quite a dangerous lift with it, all incorporated in a themed routine, yet all you've done is moan about how she didn't do other daft stuff.

You're so intent on pointing that it's a skating competiton, yet you seem hellbent on getting Daniella to perform gymnastics.

As for skating:

Daniella skates in that video:
00:32-000:38 Assisted forward skating
00:49 One forward push with her rightblade while holding onto the chair
1:12 Three steps forward while holding onto the chair

That is actually worse than I thought! The sum total of her skating in that routine was six seconds of assisted forward skating, one forward push while holding the chair, and three steps on her rakes while holding the chair.

I can go on and on for three hours about whatever the hell I like, and it's none of your business. If you have a valid point to make, then making it, but telling me to go away is not one.
