It's about time we had the first asylum seeker winner.

If the criteria included UK residency, then surely HM from the Republic of Ireland ( Like Brian & Ray I think) would have been excluded.

Both Brian and Ray were resident in England at the time of their applications. I think residency is the only criteria, not nationality.
