It's exactly what happened with Sinitta. They said it goes wrong 60% of the time then send him home because of it.

I was surprised to see Danny go.

I thought he was peaking at just the right time.

I'll miss him.

So very true.

One of the 'worst' skate offs of the series, because it was two people neither of who should have been going.

but will his stink on DOI help him get a chance to get an acting job. Despite being a better skater than Emily, he still did not the opportunity to take part in the tour. Ah well some people have some people dont, however, I have come to the conclusion that likebility is not all it is cracked out to be.

I don't think that'd endear him to anybody, bornfree.

Of course Kieron should have been in the skate off, he was in the bottom two of the leaderboard. I have to laugh at people getting indignant about it. I like him but fair is fair! People vote & spend their money on saving people.

Well you voted FAR too many times for Gary

He was my least favorite tonight, and is now right behind the others.

Gary should really have gone tonight. Can't see his appeal other than the fact he's good looking.

Will miss Danny & Frankie

Except I don't vote.

So it was other people! He obviously wasn't the majority of people's least fave.

Though you were proven right tonight -- DS means nothing.

Of course the judges had little choice but to save Kieron, but all credit to Danny. And what a gracious loser. He has gone up in my estimation.”

I agree on all counts.

Daniella was my early favourite, and I like Gary but I thought they should have been in the SO tonight, probably with Daniella going as Gary skated out really well in his routine and Daniella barely touched the ice. I thought that Danny was stronger than both of them tonight and it was certainly his best performance so far.

I was sad to see Danny go as well. He was very good.
Dropping the hat in the skate off was very unfortunate. He had the hardest prop in my opinion and I am afraid that I wasn't wowed by Daniella's performance at all. I thought it a rather smutty routine and she had the best prop.

Typing error, I meant his stint on DOI. I feel sad that even on here people did not support him. He had one bad comment from Jason about being cocky and that label stuck.

I'm sad to see him go, and to a certain degree his routine yesterday was probably the best overall (skating and use of prop - considering he had the most difficult prop). I thought he should have had higher marks. However we don't know where he was voting wise. Being third when there are only 5 left is a difficult position.

I didn't expect to see Danny in the skate off, I enjoyed his routine more than Daniella's or Gary's. But some people vote for the Pro skater rather than the celeb and I don't believe that Frankie is that well liked. I felt really sorry for him last night.

I usually have to record Dancing on Ice as my husband thinks this type of TV is rubish but as it was Mothers Day I was able to watch it live. My husband now thinks he has been proven right that these shows are fixed. He says sitting on a chair for most of the dance and then scoring the top mark was not dancing on ice. My son who skates was also very disappointed with the out come as he said dancing with a hat was the hardest prop to have. I have always felt that the judges under scored Danny I loved watching him skate. I am now backing Hayley to win.
Next week when they are all back dancing on ice without any support other then their partner, hopefully, the best skater will win top marks.

It was very hard cheese that Danny skated a perfectly good routine the first time - far superior to Gary's and definitely edging Kieron's for my money - and then got kicked out because the second time he did it, it went wrong.

Danny had more potential to improve than Gary and quite possibly more than Kieron (who I think has done a fab job so far), and was just starting to come into his own.

And don't even get me started about the fact that he got voted out over a leaderboard-topper whose routine contained NO skating.

Still, I knew exactly who'd be in the skate-off given Gary's massive public support, and after Kieron went I said 'the only way he'll stay in is if Danny drops the hat'.

Damn my Mystic LL foresight

I said the same thing, and regardless of my support for Kieron, I was actually heartbroken for Danny. What a ridiculous night.

He can go out with his head held high at least. And without a hat on... ”

Clearly Daniella & Halley were the best. It was then very close between the rest.

They were both level pegging in the skate off untill those couple of slips. Which meant they had to go.

If they had not made those slips it would hve been very difficult for the judges. It would have come down to personal preference of the performances. Who knows what way it would have gone

Same here, was SUCH a pity to have two brilliant skaters in the skate off and it was a crying shame for Danny whose routine, in my opinion, had the most content and was the most impressive considering he had the most difficult prop To be honest I think I would have been gutted no matter who went last night as I like all the contestants now, but with a gun to my head I'd have to say Gary should have gone last night - not because his routine wasn't good, it was, but because the others were absolutely brilliant. Considering prop week is normally a bit of a duffer, I think this is the best one we've had in a long time.

Did anyone notice that the two mistakes that
Danny & Frankie made in the skate-off were
more directly Frankies fault than Dannys !

First the hat got stuck on Frankies toe-pick so she could
throw it to Danny and at the very end of the routine
when Frankie does a cartwheel spin she misses
picking up the hat on the floor.

Yes I think I would agree with it, they all had props with difficulties and produced nice routines (compare that to the feather boa last year). I think my favourite routines are still Kyran's and Donal's, though.

Yep I noticed that as well, although at the end, maybe Danny didn't put it in the right position (I think by that time, he must have been really disappointed because he knew it was over). It was one of the best and most enjoyable skate offs though (I mean I was pleased to watch both performances again, although I would not have liked them to be in the skate off, it that makes sense).

I was crestfallen for the two of them being in the skateoff. For me they are the most engaging, and the most improved, of the last five.

I agree, I liked Keiron's routine a lot, but he did have an undroppable prop that actually picked itself back up if you knocked it down! Danny had that nightmare hat, which he managed a perfect routine with the first time, despite including lots of little tricks with it. Even DOI's all-time-best contestant Ray Quinn tripped and got criticised for putting the hat on back to front when he had to use it, so it's not an easy option.
Maybe they should all be given the same type of prop, then at least we'd be comparing like with like.

After the first problem with the hat, the whole routine fell apart really - they never recovered their composure. So I'm not sure the end was Frankie's fault really, more both of them. It had all kind of gone to pot by that stage, sadly.

I think Danny's prop was a tricky one. But that can work both ways. If he hadn't dropped the hat, the fact that he was dealing with a more tricky prop would probably have saved him.

(Also while Kieron's prop was probably a little easier to deal with, the performance and skating aspects of his routine were more tricky, so it did even out)
