Yeah, but you were also trying to claim that it was only the sex-starved housewives keeping Gary in the competition - a point you've just completely contradicted by the above statement.

Gary has been getting a lot of votes from day 1, but he's also been well up the leaderboard every week except the last one, which would suggest that until Sunday he wasn't reliant on his high public vote to remain in the competition, either - he could rely on the other half of his overall score to help him.

I really dislike posters who make stupid points and then try to pretend it was a joke to stop themselves looking stupid. Sorry, doesn't wash with me one little bit, and besides, I thought jokes were supposed to make you laugh.

It is the image, based on her past and the state of her nose, that stops people voting for Danniella. The demographic of DOI voter is largely female.”

I'm twenty and am definitely one of gary's biggest supporters on here anyway. Sometimes I think I'm the only one but I know I'm not. My mam HATES Gary and she's in her 50s.

Well 2000 years ago, you would have been middle aged.

Now that did make me giggle!

Totally agree with you about "it was only a joke" comments. Odd how anyone who doesn't appreciate crude language is deemed to have no sense of humour. Frankly, it's not big, it's not clever and its not funny. Personally, I don't mind ordinary swearing, but a crude turn of phrase makes me cringe with embarrassment for whoever has said it.

Now I feel OLD. Still 8 years younger than Gary though, so I'm no cougar.

Sorry (**whispers you are a spring chicken**). I just thought if the facts don't fit the theory, then change the facts.

some of you do protest too much. I've clearly touched a nerve. Just because you don't agree doesn't make it 'stupid'. Haven't contradicted anything - was accenuating why Gary is getting votes among older females. That is all.

Ugh, just realised I'm older than Gary. Not much, but definitely older.

*runs off to check she's not desperate, middle-aged or voting for Gary subconsciously*

Hmm... okay, I'll let you off...

I'm just joking around. To be honest, I don't see why it's seen as such a bad thing for older women to vote. Votes are votes and if it is older women mainly, which I don't think it is judging by here, and Twitter, so be it. It got him through!

Oh no, to say one thing and then flatly say another in opposition to it is stupid - and impossible to agree with - by anybody's standards. And I think if you check the dictionary you'll find it's pretty much the epitome of a contradiction as well.

Sorry, while you're there, look up 'epitome' in the dictionary as well.

If you don't know what a dictionary is, do come back and ask. I'm always happy to help.

Lovely, first you insult and generalise, and then when you get pulled up on it, you just say that you touched a nerve. This way you don't have to substantiate your claims, and you can weasel your way out of every conversation:yawn:.

This is a forum where people will discuss your posts, particularly if they are based on unfounded generalisations.

By the way, I don't care who votes for whom and for what reasons. However, I don't come on here, and say that only lecherous old men voted for Daniella last Sunday (which is as likely as your assumption).

Careful lach, there's evidence for that - did you see the DS story where Jason talked about how Danniella's routine 'really turned me on'?

Where's the *barf* smilie when you need it?

No I didn't. Do you mean she turned him, unbelievable. Daniella is incredible.

Maybe you are right, I should probably start a thread as I now have definite proof for my beautiful theory.

Even if you were right, which I can see no evidence of as of yet. Why does it matter what age group, or where Gary's or any of the contestants votes are coming from anyway? Everyone has a right to vote for whoever they want, and for whatever reason, no matter what their age or sex. Oh that's right, forgot that you were trying to wind some DSers up as you stressed in one of your posts, hmmm.

OMG. Don't post very much but I've clearly got things dreadfully wrong.
I really should have voted for the loverly Mr Lucy. Being in my late 40s and female what was I thinking of supporting Daniella

There are obviously people in this world who know my mind better than I do.

Best start voting (not that I've ever voted before, but hey, middle aged, female, housewife - well, sort of as I work full time and I'm studying for a degree as well, the 'housewife' bit tends to get put to one side - but I can image I'm a housewife )

Oops, and there I go getting it wrong, not a housewife, nor middle aged, according to this post - but OLDER females. See, goalposts a changing all the time.

Older females - not a late 40s person like me, I'm not an OLDER female - Johnny must mean someone in the age range of 65-90. (sorry to those of that age)

You're not touching my nerve I can tell you.

I don't know of anyone who talks about 'gussets' nowadays apart from Alan Bennett, you're not him are you?

'Clearly touched a nerve' - often the last resort of those who have exhausted reasonable argument.

Differences of opinion are not stupid - but assuming that Gary attracts the votes of older females is less than intelligent - do you have any stats to support your supposition - or is it merely conjecture?

Not just the women - johnny is clearly up against anyone (male or female) who assumes that the female judgement lies somewhere around their knickers.

I think johnnyuthah got exactly what he (or maybe it's a she in disguise, maybe someone middle aged or older, who speaks from her own experiences) wanted. Namely, all of us reacting to his post. Take note people, if you feel that nobody on a forum answers your posts, just be controversial. It works every time.

Sadly, it is middle aged women who worship this bloke and vote for him in their droves - because he mysteriously succeeds in getting their g*ssets wet.
Danniella, on the other hand, won't be forgiven by the masses for her drug-addled past. I think this is a shame as she has conducted herself brilliantly over the course of the series, shown a great attitude and it would be a fitting redemption for her to win the whole series.”

Do you have to be so crude? And why the *? How long has 'gussets' been a swear word?

I suppose I definitely fall into your 'middle-aged' women category. Shame I vote for Hayley every week! You really can't make sweeping statements like that!

True, but there was no need to have her sitting on it for quite so long at the expense of anything else.
To me, it was a choreography problem rather than through any problem of performance by Danniella.

People on here should never be judges (referring to page 1&2, can't be arsed to read the other pages). First DS moan at Gary for having no charisma although he can skate well and now they moan at Daniella for not skating as much as the others last week despite being the BEST PERFORMER.
