Don't think that's strictly true as Matt di Angelo was still in EE when he signed up for SCD, although his character was temporarily off screen (in prison). Then it was decided to write him out, so they unexpectedly brought back his character for a short but fairly tough exit story while SCD was still going on - the time of his melt-down week, though he said it wasn't due to his filming schedule.

I really don't believe that anyone would give up a well paid job in a soap to perform in a panto though! Even Barry from EastEnders!
Kieron's job hasn't been 'kept open' - he's been in the show just the same as normal. He just does all his training after finishing the day's filming. ”

It was very daft.
You're right, I meant to say he is lucky to be doing both. However, I have to say one thing in his favour, he doesn't actually moan about having to work hard.

Apparently, (If take a break is to be believed). Barry wanted to do panto as it was paying a lot at the time. (Barry was popular back then). The producers would not have it.

Did you notice its my 3000th post.

Eejit, you don't know how much Gary enjoys skating & you also don't know what he might have lined up. Maybe he got bored of the Bill. Does anyone even watch that anyway?

Anyway, he seems popular enough so hopefully this will lead to something else.

What other jobs they have is nothing to do with the show.

Wow, well I suppose he's managed to craft a career (of sorts) despite such madness...

Strictly, I was just replying to a post saying that Gary had given up The Bill to do DOI which seemed like a pretty odd decision career-wise. If he quit because he was bored with The Bill instead, then that makes a bit more sense.
