Twitter though probably self selects to on average a younger and probably more female audience. On the US SCD equivalent Kelly Osbourne had a massive lead in twitter folowers over her winner but came third. Not sure either if youtube viewings suggest the same thing.

I said so in my post! I wasn't suggesting for a minute you can draw much of a conclusion from it! I was just replying to someone who claimed that Hayley was by far the most popular contestant on Twitter, when she isn't.

Some of the contestant tweets do make me laugh. This one from Kieron for example: "Too much of anything can make you sick, even the good can be a curse! Here here too true, how many poos have you had today! I'm on none x"

I must admit I've never really looked at followers.
People might be following Gary or others because they enjoy them in their day job i.e the Bill in Gary's case.

Something like Twibbons shows the numbers who are actively supporting each celeb in DOI and on that count Hayley is miles clear of the others.

Also if you search for 'x to win' posts on a sunday evening, Hayley is well clear again.

She also gets more negative posts than anyone else, but in a positive vote that doesn't matter a great deal.

And Gary, Mikey & Danny.

ITV block the numbers unfortunately.
It's easier with shows like BB where they aren't blocked, but you can note the individual names as they're added.

Hayley has 6 new twibbons since sunday.
Kieron also has 6.

Kieron has done well lately and Gary not so well, but overall I still have Hayley well clear and Gary just 2nd, above Kieron.
With Danniella trailing.

Anyway, there will be no SO with Gary and Kieron. It'll be Daniella & someone else and Daniella will be saved no matter what.

I think you're confusing twitter with Facebook. Twitter attracts far more adults than kids.

As with previous series of DOI I want the best skater to win. This week Daniella was better than Hayley and Gary still has to reach his full potential.

On the whole though this series has been very poor compared to the standards of previous years

I am not a massive 'twitter' user...but it's nice to keep up to date with my fav celebs...and it's lovely to receive replies (Hayley usually always does...and it's really nice) but I wouldn't say old/young people tend to use it more.

Daniella was not better than Hayley this week in my opinion, sure the judges tried to spice the competition up by placing her ahead of Hayley, but if Hayley was not so dead cert. to win the show, she would have been ahead of Daniella...she didn't even need to put her skates on, she did nothing on the ice whatsoever!!!!!

It does seem to attract more over 30's than other similar sites.
I think that's partly down to the likes of Stephen Fry, Phillip Schofield, Jonathan Ross ..and other celebrities, being high profile users.

And I do think it more accurately reflects your average viewer and voters opinions than any other site. Including here.
