Anyone here like Pickled Onions?
I love these. I just had 5 of them which I put into my salad from home and they are lovely. Not had them for a while, but thought I'd add them to my salad this morning.
They are a little like Pringles.. once you open the lid, you can't stop eating them

I love them, especially with a Ploughmans lunch: Pork Pie, Mature Cheddar, some buttered baguette, pickled onions, salad and a crescent of crisps, and a hot egg...

I love them - especially little silver skins - yum!!
They are very much a "Christmas" food for me though?? Although I do buy them when I go abroad (if we are self catering) and I make cheese rolls for lunch with pickles inside

There's a new shop in a village near where I live called The Cheese Chambers (in Wombourne for anyone who may live near me) and they sell chilli pickled onions. We bought a jar the last time we went in - I only had 1 because I was on 'soft food' due to a broken tooth - Mr Saz ate the rest!
![]() They were gorgeous! ![]() My dad makes good pickled onions too. And Michael Parkinson!!! |

Garners used to do spicy pickled shallots but I think they've stopped now

I do but at the moment seem to find them very soft.
And for Mantey fans. I have just in the middle of doing a homemade batch. |

I love the little silverskin ones, but with the big ones, just one is enough for me.

Yes, we don't have them often enough. I've never had picked walnuts. They're quite expensive to risk buying a jar, if you find you don't like them. Anyone tried them?

I love pickled onions and gherkins and cauliflower and red cabbage and sauerkraut and kim chi and capers and chillis and herring.
In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find a pickled thing I didn't like. ![]() Oh. Except eggs. I don't like pickled eggs. The white of the egg goes peculiar. |

I love them sliced up in cheese sandwiches. And with chips.
