Admin Edit: This thread is a continuation of Dirk ♥ Starbuck ♥ Face ♥ ...Appreciation (merged) (Part 14)
I don't think we've seen that shirt before
LOL.

To be honest I rather see him in this shirt than in this colourful silk shirt he seems to like so much the past couple of years. That one has all the wrong colours for him and makes him look tired and - dare I say it - old A simple white T-Shirt is better than that...

Well only just over 24 hours till I go to see 'Columbo' in Worthing. I heard him being interviewed on local radio yesterday and he said that he was very nervous.

Ooooh, enjoy the evening! Maybe you can let us know how it was? I so wished I could see him on stage!

I can imagine that he is. It's quite a while since he did stage work. But I'm still sure he'll be fantastic

I saw the play on Thursday. It was quite enjoyable. There were several scene changes which slowed things up. It was great to actually see Dirk for the first time. He was very good as Columbo. The part was 'tailor made' for him. Scruffy clothes and cigars. The theatre was only half full, if that, but, hopefully, later on in the week and later on in the tour the audience will get bigger.

Thanks so much for sharing the experience with us, rainbow!

Yes, I read a review somewhere else that criticized the long scene changes, but it also said, that Dirk is good and holding the whole piece together. It must have been great for you to see him on stage, it's so totally different from watching his films. Shame that the theater was only half full, like you I hope it will get better later on in the tour. I would gladly come and help filling the theater - if I only could

I saw a review that mentioned that too. Hopefully the whole play will get slicker as time goes on! Did anyone see the interview in Walesonline - Dirk certainly isn't too happy about not being allowed to smoke on stage there!!!

Aw, great find, thanks! Isn't he a charmer? I love the way he's making the interviewer nervous. Still the ladies man...

Just listening to Dirk on a Radio Cornwall interview. There is a link on his facebook page. I am afraid I am not able to put the link here. I am laughing out loud at him. He is still coming out with all the one-liners.

it is about 45 minutes including a couple of travel reports and a tune or two (not from Dirk)

I am

I wish

I've started to suspect that he has set up a secret home on your cosy little island... Gosh, how I wish our language was English, then we would maybe have the chance to see him on stage in Germany.

I know I still owe you an emai, cicero, so sorry for that I don't know sometimes if I'm coming or going, you're not the only one I neglected in the past months. I'll get to it , I promise. You're not forgotten.

It's true - we have been fortunate to see him over here ... though he was originally going to perform his Columbo role next year too and I believe they are recasting so something must have changed there

Not to worry Mossy about the e-mail - I know what it can be like I hope you are well and will look forward to hearing your news when you have a moment

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about that. They said they would do another tour in 2011, but they never really said it would be with the same cast. Or did they??

Unfortunately he cancelled his appearance at the con here in Germany last September, so I had no chance to see him this year, contrary to what I had hoped for. Belgium last month was a bit too far and only four weeks after the other con - hubby would have killed me

Thanks Yes, I'm fine so far, just working too much. Nothing I can do about it though, I want the money, so I keep smiling and working. It's how work life is these days, everybody says so. If you're lucky enough to find a job, you can work your a** off.

I'm still hoping to find a rich aunt or uncle somewhere though...

As they stated on DBC: Even as a rat he is hot

I tried to convince hubby to spend a weekend in Milton Keynes, including a visit at the local theater, but unfortunately he wasn't very thrilled. So, looks like another chance gone...
