Apple biscuits/cookies
Have some left over apples and want to make biscuits or cookies with them. Have looked at some recipes online and there are some for 'drop' biscuits and that all biscuit recipes seem to have baking powder and soda, are these neccessary or can I not just make them with some sugar, flour and apple, in other words does anyone have a simple apple biscuit recipe?

I would make an apple crumble instead.... which is like a huge crumbly biscuit on top of stewed apples lol.

Use self-raising flour and you should be fine without the baking powder/soda.

Thanks for the replies. I am now thinking of making a apple cake and adding hazelnuts or almonds to it and pieces of fudge or toffee, do you think this will work?

Had a look for toffee pieces to put in the cake today but couldnt find any! Any ideas where I can buy some toffee thats already in little chunks?
Also will the toffee all melt into the cake or will the pieces give their form after baking? |

Disaster! Made the cookies in the end but they flattened out when in the oven and came out all thin and spread over entire baking tray, melting together., then they were all sticking to the baking tray and broke when I tried to transfer them to have wire rack, wasting the majority of those I made.
What did I do wrong? |

Mixture too wet I'd say. Was it more similar to cake batter than a dough when you put it in the tin?
