Out of interest, are they allowed to change their past routines at all? If not, things could be very predictable indeed...”
You can change them - Suzanne changes the final lift at the end of Music though I think Clare's since you've been gone is the same. I don't think you get longer performances as the show goes on - like on SCD (they just fill the show with more filler) - though Suzanne's Music I think is a few seconds longer in the final if youtube doesn't distort timing. There's certainly not much time to add more.
Jai Ho by my subjective count has a couple of lifts (one big one) and the big spin whilst Clare had 6 with 3 big lifts in about the same time and Suzanne has 5 all which all are pretty big and 3 are high on the wow factor, Hayley's big lift is in Suzanne's routine too.
I can't see how you can fit more into Jai Ho and keep the theme and the hidden difference seems to be that the final version of Music is something like 24 seconds longer than Jai Ho was.
I agree its not looking very competitive but its better than last year was without even a race on ability for second or third. Just think they have managed again to do a Ray and get someone exceptional to the final without giving them the best routine they could do. Clare and Suzanne got to put their best moves together and add some in their final routine (Suzanne adds to Music from week 7 with a much developed headbanger from week 5) I just don't see Hayley's best other moves or new ones fitting into Jai Ho in terms of style or time.
