I saw her recently on a TV programme with the LSO.
I used to buy her albums but then stopped because she started singing songs that were very slow and depressing and I loved her country music best.
In the 4 Sessions programme she sang only about two of her old hits "Western Stars" and "Wsh Me Clean" and they seemed to be the ones the audience preferred. She sang "Pay Dirt" and that was the only upbeat song in the programme.

The beautiful voice is still there but I do wish kd would go back to singing country. Anyone agree?

I love her voice but don't know much of her material. The only two songs I am familiar with is Constant Craving and Miss Chaterlaine which were both fairly uptempo but not her country style I don't think.

I think she did the best Hallujah ever, but most of her stuff is not really to my taste. I wish she would do a Neil Diamond (or Johnny Cash) and do a raw, stripped down album without all the Las Vegas-eque gush. Sometimes she could be Celine Dion, the kind of syrupy stuff she sings.

Constant craving was the song for me. I think she's fantastic....I fell in lust with her after watching that video and seeing that photshoot with Cindy Crawford

She could sing 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' and it would sound wonderful. In my view, she has the best voice of any female singer. I'm not a country-music fan, but I preferred her early recordings, when she was considered 'New Country'. 'Black Coffee' is my favourite.

Her version of 'Hallelujah', which was quite rightly praised above, is on the album 'Songs from the 49th Parallel', but there are two even BETTER tracks on that - 'Love is Everything' and 'The Valley'. They are masterclasses (or mistressclasses???) in singing that the fools who rave about XFactor medicrities ought to sit down and listen to over & over again.

Amen to that. Kd rocks and marches to her own beat and long may she continue to do so.

She has the purest, most pitch perfect voice of any female artist I've ever heard. You can keep yoru screetching Carey's, Houston's etc. Like the previous poster said, she could sing anything and make it sound beautiful.

Her version of 'Crying' with Roy Orbison is sublime. A wonderful rich voice - long may it ring out.

Wouldn't be a fan of her music at all but she does have a great voice.

Her version of Halelujah is beautiful. She has an amazing voice, But im just not a fan of her music style. I would love it if she did an acoustic stripped down album with a hint of folk/rock.
