Not really surprised he does come over as a bit of a sexist, and frankly he should remember he did know enough about skating to win.

Wonder what he`ll have to say about CB then !

`I'm A Celebrity... 2007 winner Christopher Biggins is to join former Dancing on Ice champion Kyran Bracken, Nicky Slater and Karen Barber as judges for the tour.`

Sexist? What gives you that impression?

Chris has always disagreed with having more then one none skating judge. What's wrong with that. He's right. What does Emma know about skating?

What Jason or Ruthie know about skating either?

The fact he had a go at Emma not Jason.

And if Emma had been black he would be racist right? What a idiotic comment to make.

Jason has been on the show since the first episode. The show is based on two elements, skating and dancing. Karen, Nicky and Robin are the skating experts. Jason is the dancing expert.

Emma is a silly judge to have because she is an expert in neither. She's there because she's famous and for no other reason.

Actually, he was runner-up and Emma didn't win it either.

I have to agree with Chris - I am not a fan of Emma Bunton either. She knows very little about skating and is not a performance guru either. Why is she there - as window dressing, candyfloss or is the media running a charity to employ out of work singers? Yes she was hired by ITV and so has every right to spout rubbish on DOI' panel of judges. She isn't really qualified at all and my cat could do a better job. Ms Bunton really is superfluous to requirements.

I don't know what it is about television producers of reality dance/entertainment shows who think we want to see ex members of washed-up girl bands on this type of programme. They only bring their massive egos and limited vocabulary to the shows in question.

I would like to meet your cat, maybe her and Hammy could join the panel. Although Hammy is quite biased.

Anyway, my twopence, although I 100% agree with Chris and I can see why he would have made the statement, it does sound a bit like sour grapes to me (i.e. his comment that he would like to be a judge).

I'm not bothered by his comments because we all know how the media can twist things for a dramatic headline. He may have said he'd love to be a judge and I don't see the point in Emma as a judge in response to two separate questions. The writer of the piece simply puts them together and voila a more juicy piece. Oldest trick in the book. Unless Chris himself says it on twitter or any of his other pages then I'm not holding my breath.

Thanks for posting this.

Made my point for me.

Lack of self esteem doesn't seem to be one of Chris' problems...

Sounds like a big 'ead. How is he qualified to judge?
(Not saying that Emma Bunton is, either. I can't stand her as a judge. She irritates the life out of me with her banal comments and spreading her arms like tentacles over adjacent judges.)

I think Chris is more qualified to judge than Emma as he can actually skate - that's the key point.

Whether he would be good or not we will never know unless he actually does it.

He kinda irritates me, his silly comments about how he is qualified to judge, even though he ever won the competition...hmm. Sounds like he just wants Emma's job!! lol. Saddo..

Yep I agree that could be possible (the media is not particularly reliable). However, in your scenario above, it would still mean that he would like to be a judge, and that he might thus be a bitt miffed that someone like Emma was chosen over some of the earlier contestants. He's been quite vocal this series. For someone, who hasn't won DOI I find his behaviour rather "look at me".

BTW I supported Chris over Suzanne, so I'm not biased against him. If anyone of the previous contestants had a right to judge the competition, it's Ray, however we haven't heard much from him (and I was a Donal supporter).

Given that Kyran Bracken is a tour judge, perhaps Chris is making that comparison, although I suppose for Chris to judge on the TV show would be different because he'd be more experienced than those he was judging (presumably),whereas him and Kyran are more on a par (with Chris being better if anything, IMO).

I must have missed the two series where Jason Gardiner and Emma Bunton won DOI then?

And equally, I must have missed the general opinion that thinks series winner Gaynor Faye is a good enough skater to be a judge?

AND Chris has now made it clear he didn't want to take anyone's job away, just that he'd like to have a go.

Logic, thy name is not Gazb2.

If CF is suggesting that he is better qualified to be a DOI judge than Emma Bunton, it would be hard to argue with that. I don't know whether DOI would consider hiring a past contestant as a judge but, if they did, I'm pretty sure they would go for Suzanne Shaw. (I wouldn't, but they would.)

That's not what I meant...I don't hear Suzanne Shaw or Ray or Gaynor or Hayley (see what i did there ) commenting on how they have better experience and should judge the competition....Chris is being a little bit too big for his boots in my opinion.

Well, you might rethink that opinion if you'd ever read Coleen Nolan's column in Woman magazine...she seems to feel she's qualified to pass judgement on all the skaters, though I've never seen someone with less ability on DOI

That kind of supports the argument that the less they are qualified to judge the louder they shout
