Found a Easy way to Burn Programs to DVD and to EDIT Clips
Basically you need the following Programs
VideoReDo -- www.videoredo.com This is fantastic for recording Programs directly onto DVD - its one of the fastest and best quality (usually takes 10 minutes). (It's not free but worth every single penny, the time it takes to put a program onto DVD is amazing, VERY fast). --------------- Ok so maybe you want to edit clips and upload them - if you were to edit a clip through VideoReDo you will suffer a problem with Voice Sync, this will happen on generally any program you use to try and edit the clip. Simple way around this is to use VideoRedo and save the video as a ISO once done mount the ISO with daemon tools www.daemon-tools.cc Just download there free version, once mounted you can either make it smaller using handbrake.fr (Pick the Classic Legacy) it will encode in around 10 minutes pretty fast, once done you can edit with most Video Editors and you wont have any issues with Voice Sync. -------------------- I usually Rip the Vob Files using DVD Decrypter into 1 vob, then use Pinnacle Studio 14 to edit the footage and have no problems with Lip Sync. You should also be able to edit the footage with the Windows Movie Maker http://download.live.com/moviemaker --------------------- I've found using programs like Handbrake to encode directly the program off the humax will cause the audio to drift usually after 40 minutes but as I've described above works perfect

Thanks, but I find my Panasonic Freeview+ HDD recorder does all that for me, I have my Humax HDR linked to it so can copy over, edit and burn.
![]() I can see it useful for some people, but the sound sync issues make it unsatisfactory in my view. ![]() Mikembe |

I'm confused that you're getting lip-sync problems with VideoReDo - and I'm more confused that going through that tortuous process fixes them while (presumably) nothing you've tried in VideoReDo can fix them?
If you're seeing such problems, I'm sure they'd be willing to help you at the VideoReDo forums. If you ask nicely, they might even let you beta test any fixes (though VideoReDo already has a couple of tools to automagically fix problem files). Cheers, David. |

there coming out of VideoReDo spot on, no problems with lip sync, its when you edit that very video you just created with VideoReDo using another video editor that you will see Lip Sync drop out totally and around 15 minutes it's at least 2 seconds out. VideoReDo produces a fantastic convert there's no question there, its just if you wish to create different format's (ie divx, wmv etc,) basically making it small enough to upload onto youtube etc, I found creating/burning to ISO/DVD 1st and ripping that footage works perfect for me, I use Pinnacle 14 to edit the footage and it works perfectly. Basically Convert Using VideoReDo ----> Edit with Any Editor ---> = 2 Sec Lip Sync Problem after 10minutes+ to fix Create ISO using VideoReDo -->> Mount & RIP ISO -->> edit footage (vobs) = Perfect (No lipsync Problems) I probably never wrote clearly enough in my 1st post what my aim was, but anyway thats what I was meaning. cheers m8 |

Avoiding problems with lip sync is one of the main goals of Videoredo--it's probably their no.1 priority from what I've seen. As 2Bdecided says, if you put this problem on their forum I'm sure they'll be right on it, even though it seems like the issues arise after the VRD stage.
Just out of curiosity, why would you want to edit after it's been through VRD? I'd just add it's a great tool, isn't it? Ads eliminated frame perfectly in minutes, dvd images ready to be created in another couple. Its output options don't quite stretch to divx or wmv though--yet. I know they are working on wmv input. |

A 45 Min clip through Videoredo is 970 meg - uploading clips to youtube would take a stupid amount of time. Dropping it down to 600kbits/sec makes it decent quality to broadcast on youtube, and file size is reduced to a total of 80meg in mpeg4 using a video editor (IE pinnacle Studio 14 or Windows Movie Maker, etc) I'm not saying it's a issue with Videoredo as its working perfect, its just using a 2nd video editor you find the problem - without creating the ISO route it will generate lipsync problems. |

The H.264 version allows you to create your own profiles with a range of output formats including mpeg4 and wmv, with 600 k/s the minimum for wmv and 768 for mpeg4. You can downscale it to a smaller resolution as well. The profiles look very powerful if you need that sort of thing (which I don't).
http://www.mediafire.com/file/ttno2z...screenshot.jpg I think you can have a two week free trial without losing your current version. |

I think they are calling it something like 'pre-release', but it is on sale. It's been *very* well tested and there are pretty frequent updates.
Hope it works for you. |
