I have lost the book that came with my slow cooker, but I am sure that I saw in it (before losing it) a recipe for rice pudding (not that it would be a complicated recipe in terms of ingredients) - I have a bag of flaked pudding rice in the cupboard, and was thinking of giving it a shot, but have no idea of how long to put it on for, and at what temp?

Can anyone advise please?

Just did a quick google and it came up with this. Hope it helps!
Ingredients
150g (5 oz) short grain rice
1 (410g) tin evaporated milk
250ml (8 fl oz) water
100g sultanas
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinammon

Preparation method
1.Place all ingredients in slow cooker and stir well.
2.Cook on high for 2 or 2 1/2 hours, or on low for 5 to 5 1/2 hours. Stir once during the cooking time.

It does a bit - thank you Must admit, I didn't even think of having a Google which is all the more embarrassing given that I've been playing with the street view thing for the last couple of days

I am a very big fan of my slow cooker, but how can you possibly even THINK of making a rice pud in there?
There'd be no skin on it!
Sacrilege!!

Flaked rice is more or less instantly cooked, like custard. Just put the flaked rice in a pan if milk, bing to the boil and simmer for about five minutes intil it thickens, then add the sugar to taste.

What is flaked rice? I would have thought it requires little cooking time if it's ground up like semolina.

I put rice pudding in the bottom oven of the raybuurn overnight, and it's done a treat in the morning.... i.e. about 7 hours later.

It looks like cornflakes - we used to eat it in the sixties!
