Hi guys.

Am moving house next week, and looking at broadband providers. Havingstumbled upon talk talk and its tv package, this seems like a cracking deal.

I have rung and spoken to them to getmore details whilst I consider my options.

Some posts on here suggest that they are not taking on new cutomers, but the guy on the phone never said that!

Any opinions/thoughts would be great.

I heard that they was going to wind down Tiscali/Talk Talk T.V and change over to Canvas when/if it happens.

I've just spoken to a representative over at Talk Talk to discuss moving away from Virgin Media. I'm an ex-Tiscali TV customer so figured there wouldn't be an issue with the transfer.

Well...

The woman I spoke to over at Talk Talk told me point blank that they (Talk Talk) do not provide TV packages and deal only with broadband and telephone.

I politely told her that she was wrong and I was actively looking at the Talk Talk TV page on their site as I was speaking to her.

Got the feeling she wasn't convinced to which she informed that later in the year they will indeed likely to be offering a TV package 'of some kind'.

So - it's looking increasingly like I'm stuck with super fast broadband from Virgin Media which is as flaky as anything and totally unreliable at the twice the price of my old deal from Tiscali.

Looks like I backed the wrong horse this time around!!?

By the way, which telephone number did you use to contact Talk Talk about the TV package?

Many thanks in advance.

Seems it is now the essential package plus £8pm for basic TV, plus extra packs and £50 for the PVR.
The page has a postcode checker

I've been in-touch with Talk Talk once again and spoken to a different rep this time around.

The deal is, there isn't one!!

Talk Talk are not offering the Talk Talk TV as a separate package to new customers... It's simply historical in the fact that they've adopted Tiscali TV as a consequence of the acquisition.

The rep in question told me that the deal is still being finalised with regards to a television package and as such they won't be able to offer a television package until next year!!

Next year!?!

Looks like I'm "stuck" with Virgin Media as there's no way I'm going the Sky route or indeed the BT Vision route.

Shame really as in hindsight I would much rather have Tiscali TV, re., Talk Talk TV, rather than Virgin.

Oh well!!!
