Pro routines

If DOI is back next year I wish the pros would get to skate more routines not group ones except for when with T & D and on the launch show but I think 2 pro's should skate a pre recorded skate to open the results show or to close the Friday Show.

I know lot's of pros go home back to different countries when there eliminated but have 14 pro's currently as well as Lukasz who appears lots then they could have another reserve so 16 pros to do routines with 1 or 2 or even 3 in Frankie, Dan & Matt's case every week.

Also does anyone know why Maria & Pavel never do pro routines on tour cause all the other pros have done 2 or 3.

Have to agree with you Katie. Sounds like Matt & Frankie are doing a pro routine tomorrow.

Have to say I was disappointed when I saw on DOI Friday that Torvill & Dean were skating with the celebs & no pros. Looks like they're being sidelined again.

I have wondered why Maria & Pav have never done a pro routine on tour also. I would love to see what they could do. Not sure we will ever get to see this now as it doesn't look like Pav is on tour this year.

I totally disagree - I'd love to see more pro routines, but a T&D and Celeb routine is quite a nice idea imho.

I want T&D to take a back seat. They used to be brilliant but I find myself getting bored now - it's always the same thing with them. They're getting too old for it. The pros are still mostly in their prime and are faster and more daring and inventive.

Agree with this. Love Trorvil and Dean but the routines are pretty much the same every week. Not saying they shouldn't perform but every week is just a bit too much. They should use the Pros more.

I agree as well, I think the pro's are treated so badly on this show

I'd love to see more pro routines on the tour. I know we get a few which are great. But I'd like to see them all working together on one. I mean they all seem to get on well with each other.

I've also wondered why we never get to see anything from Maria on tour, she's obviously popular with the viewers, I'd like to see her in her own choreography, I know we won't see her with Pavel this year as he's not going on the tour, but surely she could work with someone else? She skated with Matthew on the last professional routine on the show.

I still feel like the show doesn't understand how popular the pros are. I would love more pro routines. I also get sick of T&D. They ought to take a back-seat and focus more on giving good choreography to the contestants.

TBH I don't think T&D get much say on when and how they use the professionals. That's the impression I get anyway, it seems the producers are all about T&D as it is essentially their show. In the training videos, T&D seem to really enjoy working with the proffesionals, I'm sure they would like to get them involved more.

Surely, the reason why they're skating with the celebs and no Pro's is because this week is solo week? No other sinister reason, just an added dimension of the celebs having to skate without their trusted Pro partners

It all depends on what the programme's producers think the aim of the show is all about. Is it a show about celebs learning to skate, aided and abetted by a professional skater, or how a Pro skater teaches a novice (in this case a celeb) how to skate?

Never thought I would agree with such heresy but I do! I've always loved T&D but it's all getting very samey and they look absolutely knackered in training! They've got some great pros so why not use them?
