Just reading on the left, the new BB columnist that we were speculating on is Jon Tickle.

Wonder what the Tickle will make of the new HM's.. look forward to reading his views.

Does he have a megabucks tabloid paper/mag column too, or is DS the best offer the BB4 bunch are getting?

With all due respect, I doubt if DS can match the fees of NOTW or OK! etc but I'm prepared to stand corrected. Or is Tickle doing this voluntarily? As I thought DS reporters/columnists are volunteers. Can we be told if Tickle is getting paid and if so how much? Just nosey.

I was thinking exactly the same thing! I thought Mr Tickle would be the Sun's No1 choice to do a Daily comment column, during BB5.

Well if JT is being paid I hope the other DS columnists and reporters are too! Though I would not be surprised if he was contributing freely, as he seems a generous guy and genuine BB enthusiast.

I'm pleased a number of you are happy that Jon Tickle is reporting from this year's DS:BB, I am too. It is testiment to the growth of DS:BB, of which you are part.

The amount he (or anyone else for that matter) is being paid is between Digital Spy and the person in question, it's not information I am privy to nor is it information that will be posted on the forum.

Is - that's stating in the affirmative. Not 'may or may not' which would keep the matter tantalisingly ambiguous (maybe your intention?).

I don't have a problem with him being paid btw. Nothing to be reticent about admitting, I think. It's still a coup for DS to get him, great!

JT is a member here, so perhaps he applied after Neils request for reporters..........

Who ever could have imagined this just under a year ago when this place was almost unanimous in its support for the one and only Jon Tickle? DS has been well tickled.

I couldn't care whether the Reverend JT is paid or not - I'm just glad to see him here! I'm slightly concerned whether his wit and humour will come across in the written word, but let it be known - Tickle Time is upon us

I love reading the columns on DS BB, especially Emzi's. Can't wait to read Jon's, am sure we won't be disappointed

At least last years lot who are reporting for all the various magazines and papers can't spend all summer whinging this series isn't as good as theirs
