What's been your favourite series of Dancing On Ice???

I loved Series 2 mainly because of Clare- she was brilliant to watch. She got the highest ever week 1 show, the only ever contestant to do an overhead lift in week 1, she did float spins from standing position (like a headbanger) and she did it off a chair in props week, a huge press lift (overhead massive lift which is probobaly the hardest trick ever done in DOI IMO. And I can skate so I know what I'm talking about), a backflip, did spinning upside lifts, a one handed drape spin (spinning one handed overhead), a tabletop lift (overhead), a detroiter (overhead spinning), neckspin (a spin around Andrei's neck only holding on with her legs) plus the move she made the Clandrei lift with Andrei where she was held upside down overhead and held on with one hand was brilliant. Her flying and bolero were both brilliant to watch and I can't wait to see her on the tour.

I've rewatched all her routines and they all have amazing tricks in them and her partnership with Andrei was a joy to watch.

I also loved Kyran in that series because he was a a great skater and was fun to watch and had a great partnership with Mel.

Lee's lifts and skating was great to watch and I also liked Lisa, Duncan and Stephen (RIP) in that series.

Series 4 was my least favourite cause I didn't have a favourite everyone was just sorta good but not excellent cause I hated Ray and it was so obvious he would win.

So what's your favourite series?

S2 was my fave - same reason as you really - I loved Clare and Andrei.
I enjoyed S3 and S4 as well but for different reasons. I loved the competition of Suzanne and Chris.
I thought although Ray was brilliant I enjoyed the final 3 of that year more than any other year.

This year has been my least fave - I really like some of the celebs, but the whole show seems a bit strained. I can't put my finger on why

I thought S3 was probably the best, because I loved the Suzanne / Chris battle (Chris is probably my favourite skater of all the series - though not quite my favourite competitor )

S4's combination of Colleen's attempts at skating and Ray's domination made it probably my least favourite year.

I've liked this year, though I've found some aspects of it pretty tiresome. How it ranks will depend on who gets to the final, because certain combinations are going to be much less exciting than others...

Series 2 & 3 were my faves.

Series 2 just pips it for me - Kyran & Mel were fab and are my favourite ever DOI partnership. They had such a great attitude, really had fun with it & produced some memorable routines. Loved Clare & Andrei too - really looking forward to seeing Clare on tour again. I also liked Duncan & Maria and thought Lee Sharpe was underrated.

Series 3 was great because of the competition between Suzanne & Chris. I supported Chris through most of the series but voted for Suzanne in the final. However, either would have been a worthy winner.

Series 1 was good because it was all new but it does suffer now in comparison to other series in terms of skating quality. Series 4 & 5 have been least enjoyable for me. Ray was good last year but never totally blew me away for some reason. Loved Donal though. On the downside we also had to suffer Coleen for a ridiculous length of time. I enjoyed this series at the start but it started to go downhill a bit for me and I think the T&D magic is starting to go in terms of both their performances & choreography.

Series 3 was my Fav. Loved the competition between the top 4. Chris and Suzanne and then also Gareth and Zaraah. Still wish Gareth made the final but Zaraah was slightly better on the night.

This series has probably been my least fav. Just haven't enjoyed it as much this year. T&D are just practically doing the same routines every week. The choreography for celebs is also very similar every week. Wish they would use the Pros more and also I'm not really bothered with the celebs this year.

Yeah I agree with pretty much everything you wrote. I also think another reason for series 4 being a bit drab was the choreography was really lacking that year. Series 3 had so many brilliant routines.

I'm enjoying this series a lot more than last year's, though I didn't at first. If Gary makes it to the final instead of Kieron I may revise that opinion.

That's a difficult question since for me series 4 was the only one I watched religiously and got really into posting on here but that was because of the Divine Donal. Can't really say it was my favourite overall as it also had the curse of Colleen

Series 3 had the best battle of the celebs in Suzanne and Chris which probably made it the most interesting as far as the routines and skating went.

Series one it was new and I was amazed how well they all did til I realised the enormous amount of coaching time they had compared to a normal person learning to skate and how much having a pro partner makes a massive difference to how good they looked but I thoroughly enjoyed Stefan Booths performances and once John and Olga left I supported him all the way.

Series two was OK - in retrospect I can see that I didn't fully appreciate Claire at the time as I enjoyed Kyran's performances more - but it didn't grab me as a series overall.

This year is a bit meh - none of the celebs appeal as much as Donal and for me none of the routines have been as spectacular as Ray, Chris or Suzanne's best or as appealing as Donal's.

So it's easier to pick least favourite which is this year. And if I was forced probably series 3 as favourite.

This years is definitely my least favourite. Not enthused by any of the celebs really and I have found the choreography really uninspired. I loved both series 3 and 4 for different reasons. Enjoyed watching the contest between Chris and Suzanne in series 3 and unlike many other it seems, loved series 4 just because Ray WAS so good, it was a delight to watch that standard of skating from a non-professional. Frankly it made no difference to my enjoyment whether he had much competition or not, I looked forward to seeing him every week.

For me;
Best series: Series 3 (Suzanne v Chris was just brilliant, I dont think either would have been as good without the other, they pushed eachother to the limits. I think series 3 was DOI at it's peak)
2nd place: Series 2 (competition between Clare and Kyran was entertaining but standard not the same as series 3 I think and battle not as intense - though I still love both of them)
3rd place: Series one (very close between it and series four for 3rd, I liked series one because it was just all so new)
4th place: Series four (The only good thing about it was Ray really, he was brilliant but there was no competition)

Last place : This series, it's just so so dull...

To be honest looking back from this series and the last one has made me appreciate Clare, Kyran, Chris and Suzanne even more, affection for them has definetly grown. In fact judging by the forum the same has happened for lots of people...

I liked Series 3 except for Suzanne. Didn't like her at all. Chris & Frankie are one of my fave couples ever.

My favourite was last series just because of my favourite couple EVER. The lovely, endearing, unassuming, adorable, Donal and Florentine. I liked Ray and Jess too but... DoFlo rocked.

This series is only good because of the delightful Gary and Maria and Mikey and Mel. The others are just meh to me. I like Kieron but he's getting very dull with his "I've no confidence, me" routine. Hayley, I can't take to. Daniella's okay, but uninspiring to me. I like the unpredictability of the series.

I can't choose a series cos they've all had high and low spots for me. If I had to choose a competitor then it would be Ray, by some way, but his series suffered from Coleen!

It's series 3 for me, I think it was the pinnacle of the show.

I liked the first series because it was going into the unknown. The second series was also good but now it's become a bit 'samey' though I'll always love T&D no matter what project they do.

I haven't watched them all, but my two favourite skaters have been Ray and Donal.

series 3 with chris, his justin timberlake routine was fantastic, still better than hayleys bollywood one.

Series two with Kyran Bracken was brilliant and probably saved the programme from Bonnie dull-fests year after year Claire Buckfield raised the bar for the woman too. Chris Fountain then raised the bar even further and then Ray raised the roof to a level I don’t think will be reached for a while even if someone has had training for a year or two.

So series 4 just edges it for me because in series 3 Chris should have won over Suzanne. Even though Series 4 had more irritating elements (Roxanne Pallett, Donal’s endless woe stories etc) it’s still my favourite.

For me I really loved Series 3. Although I didn't like Suzanne, I thought it was a really good competition throughout, especially when Zaraah was brought into the competition. They were all fighting for a place in the final and it was a thrill to watch.

I enjoyed series 2, for the same reasons really. The competition between Clare and Kyran was a joy to watch. There was no clear winner there, which made the final even more interesting to watch.

Series four was great as I loved Ray, but there wasn't any one really who could keep up with him, a part from Jessica, but even she struggled at time.

IMO this series has been the weakest, even though I've enjoyed watching it. If you compare this years finalists to previous years then there is a considerable difference.

Series Two for me. I loved Kyran , Clare, Duncan, Lisa and Lee. Even Emily who stayed too long still pulled out a stunning routine in 'Almaz'. And it had the lovely, late Mr Gately.
