Apalling camera work on EE...
Apologies if this has been discussed in another thread - if it has please post the link.
Just watched the latest EE on V+ and found I couldn't watch the screen at the end. The camera work was actually making me quite motion sick. Do you know the bit I mean? Ronnie and the Phil photo and Lucas trashing the garden. Whilst it may have been trying to portray "action" and "spying" all it did for me was make me wonder whether the cameraman had taken too many sips from a hip flask! I really hope they don't use that technique again.

Wasn't it supposed to be like that rather than genuine appaulling camera work, because IIRC the rest of the episode the camera work was fine ?

I found the day EE did all weird camera angles every other soap (well Corrie and the Dales) did it too!

I think it was supposed to be like that, but I wasn't a fan of it either

Yes it was meant to be like that and I quite liked it. It’s a technique I've seen in other shows so maybe it is something I'm used to. I can see how it could be a little out of place on a soap like Eastenders where they are normally very traditional in their approach to filming. The disjointedness, quick cutting between two very different but very different characters was quite effective. I especially liked the shot of Ronnie staring into the distance with the snow globe framed in the foreground, it said a lot without saying a thing.
Saying that getting all the camera operators drunk and then shooting could also be very entertaining. |

It was obviously intentional but it looked dreadful.

it was ok. And unless you know anything about filming, then I don't see your point.

I liked it. Made the two scenes less boring.
