I'm getting a bit fed up of his attention seeking marking. Its quite obvious he's either marking people up or down so that he can get some airtime and take the attention of Jason. Giving Gary a 5.5 for what a pretty bland, forgetable routine is a joke.

Nicky marks mainly on skating ability, as opposed to performance. He thought that Gary skated better, technically, than Hayley.

He's making a fool of himself, just to draw attention to himself, IMO. Fine, if he wants to be seen as a fool, but certainly not fair to the contestants. I agree it's attention seeking. His marking is just ridiculous and frankly they need to decide whether they need him back next year.

I'm actually surprised Nicky ever agreed to appear on the same show as Christopher Dean as he can barely hide his bitterness towards him. He's always been more than a little miffed that Chris and Jayne were far more successful than he and Karen were. But I suppose his ego meant he couldn't turn down a primetime TV spot

I think thats the problem when they push the issue then for the weird marks very rare does he have an answer.

I've always felt that the last thing he wants to do is to be controversial and that he serioulsy thinks that the rest of the panel will score the performance much the same as him but sometimes he's way off the mark.

Nothing, except Hayley's strong skating was obviously far better than Gary's very tentative effort.

I agree. His inconsistency is shocking. And judging by his body language, it is all for attention. Gary skated well tonight but I don't know how he could give him a 5.5 and Hayley a 5.0. And it's called Dancing on Ice so the performance should also be taken into account, not just the skating. Hayley's performance and overall routine was much better than Gary's. Nicky just concentrates on the skating and inflates/reduces the mark accordingly so that he can offer his appraisal.

Nicky says he marks on the 'skating' Last week he gave Daniella 5.5 when she actually skated for only about 20 seconds.........this week a 4 where is the logic in that....oh sorry this is Nicky we are talking about so there is no logic.

I was surprised he marked Daniella so high last week when he does drone on about it being all about the skating. He's so inconsistent.
