Hayley and Daniel, with Kieron and Brianne a close second.

Keiron and Brianne deserved higher marks than they got
Gary was overmarked but Jason's comments will see him safe Hayley was about 1 point too high - she was good but I don't think deserved a 6 for that routine - especially as she was first up... the judges had nowhere to go if one of the others had played a blinder. Danniella was disappointing all round - a little wobbly and insipid in the solo skate but lovely with Matt - but she proved that she CAN skate on her own I agree that it wasn't a 6 routine but then I thought the 5.0 from Nicky was a bit harsh so the scores balanced themselves out in the end. |

Hayley and Daniel.
None of the performances were particularly outstanding although everyone has improved considerably throughout the series. I did like all of the routines but there have been many better performances in previous years.

I felt tonight Hayley's was the worst on the night ![]() Because I'm no expert but even I could see her solo spot was the best of the bunch - a spin and a steady spiral and plenty of ice coverage......then she had those complex lifts when Dan joined her and more solo skating in the middle of the routine....definately not the worst. |

I think its hard to fault Hayley. I have never voted for her, but do enjoy watching her. She even last week I thought she was better than Daniella and Hayley was so gracious when she said Daniella deserved to be high on the leader board. No point in hating someone because they are good.

Do you mean you enjoyed Hayley's performance least or genuinely felt she was the weakest?

I do enjoy her most of the time even though she's not my fave but last week I felt she was undermarked. |

Hayley's solo was very impressive.
She gains momentum with very little effort and her skating was very elegant. |

Sorry it's ridiculous to say that she was the weakest (based on what, the colour of her hair?). |

I'd say Hayley had the best solo skate, but Kieron's was best overall, and remember that he's also skating when doing a lift.
He was absurdly under-marked this week. |

Blimey. I find her extremely annoying as a personality and I wouldn't vote for her as a result but I really don't see how anyone could think she wasn't the best performance let alone the worst.

I had a quick second watch through of the performances there, to concentrate on the actual skating.
In my opinion, Hayley and Kieron were by far the best in terms of their skating - some of Kieron's footwork was really quite gorgeous, and Hayley was also stronger than she initially looked. Gary was okay, but nothing special, and not as secure I expected, and Daniella was decidedly unsteady, especially before Matt joined her. So I guess from that perspective maybe the right person went, though Daniella was far better than Gary performance-wise. Hayley and Kieron should have been the clear top two - the public got that totally right, even if the judges didn't.

Hayley & Dan - when they dance it's like two halves of one person fitting together.
The others were disappointing, especially Daniella whose solo section consisted of lots of hand and arm movements done on the spot and a wobbly spiral, that was it. Gary tried to project more and I give him credit for that, but he doesn't feel the music like the others do so he's never going to interpret it as well. I've never got into Keiron's routines. There's an awkwardness to them. He's a flamboyant performer though so I can understand why some people enjoy what he does. Not for me though. |

Performance of the night for me - Matt & Frankie and Alex & Luk skating to Alexandra Burke.
In terms of the celebs, Kieron & Brianne best of a mediocre bunch. Very poor standard for a semi final. Hope Kieron wins, although Hayley probably deserves it on merit. However, I can't muster up any enthusiasm for the final. Definitely not gonna bother with the flying crap. Might just tune in towards the end for the results. |
