I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was dull - in fact I only logged onto the DS to see if other people thought that too. There were no performances which made me think "wow!". I'm trying to think what each couple skated and I'm struggling to remember.

I realise this is harder than Strictly Come Dancing, but I do wish that at this point the DoI contestants were doing two routines like they do in SCD. I didn't think much of the opening performance either (I would have preferred something faster and more 'thrilling' with just the professionals).
I agree, two routines or make the single routine longer.
I also thought it was dull tonight, really expected all them to pull off something a bit special.
To be fair, I suppose Keiron did up his game with some difficult lifts and the death spiral..but the routine itself was strangely dull.
Hayley was very good, but (similar to last week) she seemed to be performing well within the range she achieved weeks ago. Unlike the others, she has no real danger of going out, I would have liked to see her really go for it.
Gary skated very well, and I thought there was more personality and flair in this week's performance..but nothing he does will please Jason.
Danniella let herself down with the solo, it was fairly static as Nicky pointed out. Again, she acted the part well..it depends how much value you attach to actual skating ability, she lags behind the others on that score.

I missed Danny

He was getting better and better and I loved his enthusiasm and his relationship with Frankie and I found him quite endearing.

There was a developing story there.

The remaining bunch of celebs are just giving us more of the same.

Yes very dull semi IMO. At least the results show will have a routine from Matt & Frankie.

This series is limping towards a dull end.

Only thing I'm watching for!
Hopefully next series will be better, otherwise I fear that Dois glory years are well behind it, I don't want DOI to go out on a whimper...

I think Danny was doomed when he let them feature his dad without revealing that he was, in fact, a convicted killer

Alexandra, you're from Islington, not LA. Nice frock though.

Think the music was a bit on the boring side tonight, it didn't help any of them to give a performance to remember.

All of which is a comment on Tand D and not the celebs . They can only dance what they are given to dance to the music.

I agree with the comment they haven't moved on. Thats partly because with 4 decent males none of them has turned out to be good enough to provide a boy v girl contest at the top as in series 1-3. Its partly due to dull routines. its also partly due perhaps to losing momentum with props week and skating alone this week - they ought to be doing longer numbers that built on where they had got to rather than doing something that was a one off distraction?

Why did they drag about 8 minutes of skating into 1hr 10mins show? And after having the best skater first, the rest felt like rather a chore.

No wonder ratings are down this year.
